Video PC Xbox One Xbox 360

Electronic Arts send us this HQ version of the video of TitanFall released on Youtube 2 days ago. 1080p of course, sadly only 30 fps, but quite nice image quality. Enjoy!

its not that epic graphics wise tbh, specially when you look at killzone, infact its not that great

look at the state of the textures on the trees etc specially when your near them :/

no doubt the multiplayer aspect is what people are wanting anyway but still it could look way better

I haven't seen this video, but it seems it's quite like the one from Gamescom, which was 60fps 1080p.
Am I mistaking ?

Rumour has it it's not even 1080p either. Like COD i guess, it's the gameplay that lures people in, not the graphics... Looks super fun though. Looking forward to it.

Game is running on Valve's Source Engine, which is eight years old now, although it's impressive how much they've modded it to do what they've done in this game. Looks fun, will grab it on PC when its out :D

Graphics do not come close to Ryse even tho its a different genre, but I am sure this is going to be tons of fun to play. At least it looks like so.

I know it would make more sense to compare it with KZ, like you fellows did, which also do not come close to. Its just Ryse visuals wont stay out of my mind.

Yeah, it's an engine issue with the visuals, but it still has something about it that's appealing and actually works. The dated look suits the rustic art design. It looks super fun, though. It takes me back to when Capcom and Konami were making these sort of mecha games in the 16-bit days. Gameplay over visuals. Really refreshing and actually exciting for a change.

in this case gameplay will triumph graphics (eventhough thats how it always should be, with next gen coming everyone is a graphics whore)

plus graphics are clean, thats good enough

Agreed.

This and Destiny for me from all these next-gen mp/co-op games.

i wont have a 360 by that time

and i am sure X1 version will have more advantages then just better graphics(fps, amount of players etc)

Isn't titanfall an EA parters game though. Ie, not a franchise or dev studio owned or controlled by EA, but working alongside them?. I assume they need to use their own engine considering they may go elsewhere publisher wise for the sequel. Kinda like fuse by insomniac. It was their own engine, rather then a borrowed one.

Rumours say its 720p on xbone, so potentially no res increase. i'd assume it'll be like COD on 360 (and xbone if rumours are true). Ie, 720p60fps since IW/respawn favour framerate over pretty graphics, Serverside they both use azure, so dedicated servers, same amount of players.... All you got is visuals bub...but surely you yourself arn't a graphics whore?...nah...of course not...lol.

Is this actually still coming to 360? For some reason I thought this had gone next-gen only.

Makes sense to have it 360, & that's probably reason why it doesn't look true next gen.

The Xbox One versions won't look better then the Max PC version even 5 months later I'm afraid. It is the 10 year old Source Engine afterall.
When it comes to PS4 and PS3, you will more than likely be able to play cross platform with PC, PS3 and PS4 users just like with Portal 2. No wonder Microsoft needed to keep this away from Sony for now. :)

BlimBlim do you know if Sony will be sending you a high quality version of those few Killzone Preview videos that are buzzing around Youtube at the moment?

Graphics or not, the animations are amazing

Also this video is indeed old, but I don't remember it being this high quality with audio and everything

true but I will not be buying any next gen games that don't look next gen graphically atleast there are some very bad textures

besides I don't play multiplayer, though rumors are that this will be on the ps4 at some point for people who don't want a xbox one

yes but gameplay wise this could have been done on the 360 that's the point a lot of people are saying when they say the graphics are not that great

Kinda stumped why they went with the Source engine tbh, but then again IW/Respawn have always been known to use ageing engines haven't they.

This is a multiplayer game. Performance, visibility, etc trumps all that garbage anyway. I actually wish this were coming out later in the year.

Having too many compelling multiplayer games to play isn't a real thing to complain about though.
