Xbox 360

Eidos released four trailers for the Xbox 360 version of Tomb Raider Legend, presenting the outfits, combat, Tibet and Amanda. It really looks fantastic, and the release on 7th of April is a great way to start of the month after the super-gaming month of March.

I've never been into tomb raider myself, but this is lokoing interesting.

Nice work with the trailers Eidos.

(a lot of people are playing oblivion over GRAW, i dont think they got bored, they no longer have social lives. like me, that game is a curse.)

This looks cool.. But once you've finished it there's not really any replay-value, as you'll know all the puzzles etc already.. That's why I don't buy a lot of SP-only games, because most of them have no replay-value..

Oblivion has lots I guess because you can play it in many different ways, and games like GRAW (and my current favorite PGR3) have replay-value because of their online MP..

This new Tomb Raider might be worth it though if it offers something special like awesome graphics or gameplay, and is long enough (so you don't finish it within 15 hours).. But since it's a multi-platform game again with the current-gen consoles aswell, I kindof doubt it will ofer that something special.. Fans of the series (or Lara) will offcourse love it no matter what..

i bought oblivion and graw, my mistake was putting on oblivion 1st, because i played 10 hours of oblivion, then played graw it was great and im really gonna enjoy playing it. But while i was on it all i was thinking of was playin oblivion. Ive decided to complete oblivion and get all 1000 points before playin graw again. Its only fair, I believe graw requires my full attention.

Tomb raider...liked the 1st, never bothered with the rest they all seeed the same. The water looks good, again the 360 is capable of more, but in this transition period there are lots of xbox games just with slightly upgraded visuals.

Except for the boring shoot sequences, the game is absolutely great.

I thought the action was pretty good in the PC demo, perhaps it doesn't hold up--don't know, but I look forward to finding out :) Very fun game..I'm not sure it's really a port up of the Xbox game so much as a port of the PC game..which looks really good imo..

Basically, if you like action platformers, I'm not sure why you wouldn't like this game--it has elements of prince of persia, with guns..everything I expected to see was in the demo--traps, platforming, puzzles--and it all seems very polished..if you like POP, it's at least worth a try..if you can look past the "1.5" visuals that you all seem to be seeing..for the record though, this looks quite a bit better than a good handful of games that get well defended in these parts.

Graphic-wise, the game certainly delivers in "next-gen" mode, but my god does it run like shit ! In the opposite, the "old-gen" mode runs so fast the game looks like it's playing fast forward. Weird.

I really enjoyed the PC demo, was quite fun and was sad when it ended. Probably get this for PC. Too bad Next gen enhancements are disabled in the PC demo, but it still looked pretty damn good without it.

I played the PC demo, and enjoyed it. I guess it will be worth a rental on the 360.

Snoopers: What do you mean? Does it lag, has framrate issues? If so, how can the gameplay be great?

Well, gameplay can be good even though framerate is shit, otherwise Perfect Dark's popularity was mass psychosis.

(And it wasn't)

"It's not next-gen unless it stutters under 15fps continuously" That seems to be the norm these devs abide by. Apart from a few exceptions that make the rule like Kameo and PGR3.

The worst recent example is the blazing angels demo. Try it in 720p and you wont know if you should cry or laugh when it runs under 10fps whenever the ground is in sight then jumps to 60fps when you turn towards the sky.

Misunderstanding: I was talking about the PC version (full, not demo) with "next gen" mode activated. Even on my high-end PC, it runs like shit. But it "old gen" mode, it runs perfectly (and it's not ugly at all).

Hopefully, the X360 version will be just fine.

You'll play in old gen mode with everything activated just fine, but don't think about playing on next-gen mode with this config. Anyway, as I said, the game is not ugly at all in old-gen mode.

The game is released on friday in Europe, but several stores has broken this date. It's officially released in Italy, I think.

That is indeed the release date..perhaps some people are playing review copies (or less than legitimate copies, heh)..

^^well there ya go, manager comes through with an answer :) How did Europe score this one first? Once they break a street date elsewhere--they should do it everywhere :P
