Activision has released the first screenshots of the recently announced Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5. In development at Robomodo, the studio who took care of the HD remaster for the first two titles, the game will be out later this year on consoles.

Looks horrible for being a game developed for PS4 and Xbox One.
But that's to be expected of course - it's developed by Robomodo after all.

I don't understand why they revive THPS at all if they aren't gonna put more effort into it than this.

Them textures straight from 2007, vomit inducing CA and enough jaggies to make a chainsaw. Yyyyup.

It's a console game, it looks pretty clean for a console game. And if I had to guess it is is intended to run at 60fps (it's the right game for it, certainly).
It looks fine.

Isn't it also being developed for PS3/360? And it really doesn't look that bad, and if it runs at 1080/60 it looks good enough. The gameplay is what really matters.

I dunno MordeaniisChaos, it looks pretty rough from these screens.

Still, I am interested to see more.

Man that looks bad. Looks like bullshots for circa 2006 or something. I expected more.

Ugh. This is not a good start.

"being developed by Robomodo" alarm bells ringing.

If you want to remain positive, I can understand. Graphics can be overlooked if everything else is there. But so far no one can be blamed for being pessimistic.

This looks like a decision was made early on to put this game on every system with a pulse. See if the name can still move units and then put more money into a sequel.

If you think the graphics aren't THAT bad. You're right, but this is WAY below par for what's capable at the moment.

Don't forget who is publishing this and the resources they can pour into projects.

Even if the graphics would be OK from a technical standpoint (which they aren't), it still totally lacks any sort of atmosphere and feeling in the environments. The art direction is really bad compared to old THPS games IMO, and there're barely any details in the surroundings. Just looks very plain and dull.

And to be honest I have even lower expectations when it comes to gameplay. :P

Looks like shit, why is anyone making excuses for this? This'd be unimpressive on PS3/360 for crying out loud :/

I guess that horrendous looking chromatic aberration filter is a real system hog. F**k me :P
