Not only they stole Epic's engine code but they stole the name of one of the scariest creatures from Gears of War.

Savage: This game is not even based on Unreal Engine 3 (thank god for that, UE3 sucks monkey balls). They developed the game with Epics engine from the beginning, but have now created their own.

Can't wait for this game. I've been watching it since the beginning.

I'm a sucker for storylines. Even if the graphics aren't the best, they're good enough to tell the story; and if Silicon Knights' reputation is true, the story won't disappoint.

"they stole the name of one of the scariest creatures from Gears of War."

I can't figure out if this makes you ignorant or dumb. Maybe it's both.

Epic did not invent the word "berserker", genious. Too Human's Berserker class fits it's name better because of setting.

Did SK steal Epic's engine? I was under the impression that Silicon Knights bought the right to use it. I remember something about SK making a lawsuit against Epic(were your false comments about this?) but I have not read about it that much.

You're right, there was no "theft" of the Unreal Engine and, yes, there was a lawsuit, but I have no flipping clue what happened with it.
Probably not contreversial enough to make the fucking news so who cares.

Hmm, you know, you might be right. While I myself found the video informative and good enough it could have been a little better if they had clips showing the things they talked about more in detail. For instance they put skill points in the spider branch and following that you see Balder/Baldur deploying the spider in that specific setting. Spid, spid, spid!

As for the game I'm not sure what class to choose. Champion, Berserker or Biomechanic(I've ruled out the others)? Soon it will be Time to choose...

Yes, you are right. Does it really make the game better or worse if the developer is in a lawsuit? It's kinda like when IGN reported about the time Itagaki was drawn into court... was that REALLY needed? I mean we are gamers, we want to hear about his bloody games after all.

There was a very real threat of a lawsuit. They claimed they had been "fooled" by the promises made with the engine... simply because they couldnt get the most out of it themselves, hence why Too Human looks so adverage.

Constant delays is never a good sign for a game, infact i dont believe any game has survived such.. or shown 8yrs worth of developement time in its quality, certainly this isnt.

Framerate and animation still appear to show the same issues they always have. Level design is uninspired...a constant rotation of huge wide area's designed for a now none existant 4 player experience. Graphics already look worryingly dated. And worse..gameplay, it may allow you to power up, but the gameplay mechanics are as uninspired as the level design. It puts me in mind of a top down shooter from the Amiga days.. where you can still pick up weapon enhancers but you're still repeating the same actions throughout.

This game will survive on its demo.. if it has a good demo then it may get people interested in it. Reviews i see it getting no higher than an adverage of 7.

It best have one hell of a good story... although the voice acting seen so far may put a dampner on any potientual it could show.

In what way "good spot"? You mean the untrue opinion that SK "stole" the berserker name from Epic? Epic did NOT create the name "berserker"! And others have used the term berserker to name characters/enemies before Epic. Just search for the word, some of the first lines in the wikipedia entry reads:

"Berserkers (or Berserks) were Norse warriors who wore coats of wolf or bear skin and who were commonly understood to have fought in an uncontrollable rage or trance of fury; the berserkergang, hence the modern word berserk."

So clearly Epic is not the creator of the name. Anybody is free to call their characters berserkers.

i meant good spot as in the creature from gears of war was called berserker as well

lol, i didn't mean anything like epic created the name berserker, that is just going to make me go..berserk!! C'mon it is abit stupid to think epic created the name berserker, that word has been around ages..now the word, dickweed, i invented that!

but anyway, when i first read the title, i was thinking more like, you know in final fantasy your characters can go berserk and you can't control them..they simply attack your own team or have too much power

Oh, I see. I was probably too "nerd raging" back there... sorry. But you speaking of team damaging characters reminds me of UFO enemy unknown, or the first X-com game. There your squad mates could panic or sometimes go berserk shooting at all targets, aliens, squad mates AND civilians. I wonder if some of the Machines in Too Human can turn your Human allies on you...
