Microsoft keeps trying to hype Too Human with another video and some images, this time all about the Commando Class Skill Tree.

Seems too generic for me, but I'm sure it will be a commercial success anyway.

i think those that play it will enjoy it, but the majority will avoid it.

The Commando seems a bit more in-depth than I realised, still I don't think it will be a class I'll play much.

As for being "generic" I'm struggling to recall a game like this at all. Sure it has plenty of RPG mainstays (the spiderbot is essentially a minion for example) but I can't think of a game where it has been put together this way.

When your animations suck compared to MGS4, you know you're in trouble :P

At least try and compare games in the same genre.

This game would have looked better if they didnt waste their time with UE3.

so because they have different game styles that means animation can't be compared?

also @ ronsauce

it sounds like you were unimpressed when you played through it. what about act 4 when your worm crawling past two gekko the animation is a treat, or rex vs ray, on drebins truck, the glorious chase sequance in act 3, all the boss fights, the first person gun animation. the airborne units, the real time cut scenes ( that use ingame textures ), the way snakes face reacts to different situations. and there's many more throughout the game,

don't get me wrong though i'm not having a pop because it's on 360, I have a lot of time for silicon knights, they made two of my favourite games on the cube, eternal darkness and twin snakes, but they got let go by nintendo for a reason, and it was too human.

Are you kidding me? MGS4 has the same animations as the rest of the mgs-games (ie. it suckes). Or you could call it japanese animation, fast and unrealistic animation, made for gameplay only (althouh the controls are unchanged too).

If you mean the pre-animated cut-scenes of (random-mgs-game) i can agree with you, there the animations are alive and smooth, but in gameplay the suck... at least with western-standards.

Too Human has many combat styles, lots of completely different close and distant combat weapons, large melee battles etc. Compare it to games that at least have those. MGS is completely different, the only place it comes close is with CQC but even then that is restricted to a few one-on-one set animations.

lol, so that means I can't compare the thing the have most in common with each other animation. they use a similar camera, both are men, just because the fight differently doesn't mean you can't compare animation.

so another question for you good sir, not about game styles, does too human have better animation than MGS4? yes or no : )

I think what Von is saying is that after playing MGS4 the animations for Too Human look like rubbish. The rest of Von's statement should've hinted everyone towards that.
