Game looks like a blast. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Hopefully Ubisoft won't mess this up.

Can't wait can't wait can't wait... also, these trailers have been so well done, the first one I watched an unhealthy number of times.

Nearly time to bust out some TM2 stadium to warm up!

This might be a worthy replacement for motorstorm. Looks good.

it's an arcade racer...it's close enough.

Your average "arcade racer" has more in common with your average simulation than it does Trackmania.

This game plays more like.. I dunno.. Micro Machines or something. Cars have perfect grip. Not even based in reality.

There's not even any collision in the game. Mario Kart has more in common with Motorstorm.

mario kart has projectile based combat...motorstorm doesn't. motorstorm is a straight up racer. so is trackmania. collision between cars or not. i know which are more similar. lol

Apparently not. This is absolutely nothing like Motorstorm. Not even a little. I won't argue with this driving game expert though. You already displayed the depth of your knowledge in the Dirt thread. I can't compete with that.

The Mario Kart example was meant to demonstrate how different Trackmania is compared to other "racing" games on the market, and the vast diversity within the genre. There are a huge variety of "arcade racers" that all offer vastly different experiences. SSX is more of a "racer" than this is. It has more realistic car handling too.

You don't even race w/ other cars on the track in SP. It's a pure time attack game.

Not that this is a bad thing. Trackmania is novel and awesome.

I'm at the very least pretty curious as to how this game progresses. I love the look of the game and I'm a huge fan of racers (arcade, sim, and sim-cade), not sure how fun it will be until I get to play it of course but the idea behind the game seems interesting and I love the fantasy track on display. I play enough Sim stuff that the more fantasy track feel is a nice change of pace from time to time.
