Trailer PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

The rather amazing E3 trailer of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is back with this time a very high quality version running of course at 60 fps. Once again many thanks to Ken-Ichiro Imaizumi at Kojima Production for this!
Direct downloads are available, but please use the torrent if possible!

I really hope the reason we're not hearing alot of Keifer Sutherland in the recent gameplay videos Konami released is because they are saving his performance for the final game or that they needs to polish the facial animation more or something, because having a oddly silent snake would really suck. I mean he's suppose to be Big Boss, someone that people would follow and die for... hard to come across that when he doesn't speak... It would add more flame to the fuel to the uproar about David Hayter not returning for the role.

I actually like Sutherlands performance, so i hope we hear more of it soon. Either way I'm already in for buying Phantom Pain, lets just hope Kojima lands the tone and themes he's trying to convey.

they've already said in interviews that he talks A LOT less, even less story stuff apparently, said that if they had him speak too much it would costs too much. we're just going to have to deal with a silent snake...that happens to sounds shit when he finally does speak. it's what grated on me in the ground zero's demo. they've replaced codec calls with kaz just incessantly talking at you and snake just completely ignoring him with no interaction. i hate it. if hayter was cheaper/better/able to flesh out the roll morso then lame celebrity #35346 then i don't get why they would pick keifer especially considering how much hayter is associated with the role...oh wait, yes i do...a wannabe movie directors wants a "real" star in an attempt to legitimize his chosen medium. /rant

That would be quite a disappointment... If it turns out to be true and it's not one of Kojima's funny tricks, then it's going to be a real shame. I still like to think all this is just another big sham and Hayter will actually be Snake in the final game. ^^

That is a real shame, i don't know if it is true or not, can you link the article/interview if possible? I don't mind the performance, it is a lot more range then Hayter can hit in my opinion. I do agree with you on some degree on Kojima working in the wrong field if he's trying to be a movie director in a game medium, why not just make movies? But playing ground zeros, he has made it less on cutscene to cutscene and more on gameplay, the controls do feel more modern. With the recent gameplay reveal they did at E3 closed doors they do put more emphasis on play: recruiting soldiers, gear, vehicles, customizable home base with use on multiplayer that they teased, etc. I really enjoyed the Peace Walker staffing design to build equipment and mess hall stuff, so its good to see that stuff transfer over, really adds more depth. Im still thinking they're going to bring Hayter back, they are basically approaching Metal Gear 1 from the MSX time line wise, i wont be surprised if there will be a time jump since they are already time jumping 9 years from Ground Zeroes to Phantom Pain, I mean all it takes a one of the soldiers on the base to say "my name is Dave" voiced by a more natural David Hayter and it wont surprise me one bit being Kojima's style of "Kojima-ism." But who knows, all this might just blow up in Kojima's face for all we know.

I've been hoping for that myself. I wouldn't be surprised if all this was for the fact that towards the end of the game you actually play as Solid Snake. The one thing I don't like about the whole Keifer as Snake thing is they casted a Hollywood actor, not a voice actor. It annoys me that Troy Baker (who plays Ocelot and character's face looks ALOT like Troy Baker's in the game too) knows who Keifer Sutherland is, yet he never heard of Troy Baker before. Even the guy who plays Chris Redfield and Ezio from AC would have been a better main character Snake.
Everytime Keifer Sutherland says "Kept you waiting huh?" I want to reach into the TV and strangle Big Boss :)

I always thought the animations in the 30fps version of this trailer looked weird. But they feel more realistic in this 60fps version.

I wonder if it's because the animations were captured in 60fps since that's what KP are targeting in the final game.

I agree with Driftwood's post. It would be a shame if Kojima limit the amount of cutscenes and spoken dialog from Big Boss, just because the vocal minority didn't like it. Again, Kojima is a master troll, so it's hard to take him at his word during his interviews. I may be foolish in my belief, but I still think David Hayter will be in in this game...not voicing Big Boss, but voicing Solid Snake! Also I feel he's gonna do a Metal Gear Solid 2 type switch-a-roo on us, by having us play as Big Boss for the first half of the game (to show how he turned into "Venom Snake"), and in the second half of the game, we will play as the legendary Solid Snake, voiced by David Hayter himself.

of course, I could be 100% wrong, but something in my gut tells me this will come to pass. I guess we'll find out next year.

Absolutely wonderful trailer. And it's 50% because of the music. Love that song from Mike Oldfield, actually a 2014 release ...

I've been following GSY for years and finally decided to register. It's one of my most appreciated sites.

Unfortunately I've lost this biblical direct feed trailer on my HDD and wanted to redownload it again but the bittorrent link seems to lead to an dead end. Would it be possible to fix this? It's important to me and I'd really appreciate it.

EDIT: Allright guys, nevermind. It appears that logging in to this site enables a direct download option for the videos.
