Today Midway released this trailer of Hour of Victory, to be released exclusively on Xbox 360. The summer 2007 release date seems still be on track, and what is a summer without a WW2 game?

in FPS games there is such a high standard set by todays games,it baffles me why companies release stuff that is not even 50% as nice looking,and im not gonna believe for 1 minute that the story is any different to all the others,its WW2 at end ofday,its been told to many times by the big gun devs,midway stick to what u know and do best

The setting isn't what is wrong with this game. You should be asking for better shooters in general MTYF.

Another Call of Duty clone... great... I am ohkay with WWII games, but why is it they do all revolve arround the same battles? A lot happen in Asia you know... not to mention the Balkans

Whats the x factor of this game?

Brother in Arms has squad command/ tactics, superb graphics, cover system, simulation like gameplay.

What makes this game different then a COD3 expansion?

Yeah all these games keep cloning same battles I think that producers of those games are just too stupid to gain knowledge about other important battles.

thats what i was thinking david,midway are arcade devs,i hate it when they try and enter an unkwown genre and dont live up to the standards.
i would love another sanfransisco rush game,the first one was amazing

Yeah, the graphics fail. Call of Duty 2 is still the definitive WWII shooter.

Midway chose the wrong time to make a WW2 shooter, as have EA.

Microsoft, concentrate on platforming and hack 'n' slash games you only have N3, DW5 & Kameo.

Shots look pretty good and I love the MG42 model (texture could be higher res). But somehow you get a distinct amateurish feel in the town. They need to examine some accurate photos and take the time to recreate an authentic street, not just throw stuff in there in a hurry.

It's like "Created in just two days using UE3 middleware!" Yes, now take two months to actually finish and polish what you created.

I think it looks pretty good if you look at the high res trailer. Maybe on a par with COD 3, but hard to tell with all the fades in the video.

Another WW2 game yeah, but ppl keep buying them! :)
