Xbox 360

As you may already know, that little game called Halo 3 will be available as a beta in 5 days now. Part of the gaming press should get to play it starting today, but it doesn't seem like we will have the chance to be selected, so we will have to live with this nice trailer! I still have no news of the 100 invitations for the beta, please stop contacting about it.
Update: Looks like I've spoken too quickly since I'm downloading the beta as we speak. Expect lots of images and videos later tonight!

Considering what is going on (multiplayer) this looks awesome. The graphics aren't final and will get better according to Bungie. But MP graphics are always "Dumbed down" compared to the campaign (see GRAW, R6V etc).

The graphics are very good imo, you shouldn't be comparing this to GOW as they are totally different. GOW is awesome looking, but the maps are very small and even online it's only 4v4.

Compare this to Resistance: Fall of man online and I think Halo beta comes out on top, let alone the final product. Look at how Forza 2 graphics improved over the final few weeks of polish!

Can't wait personally :)

Out of sight. Same as they did with Halo 2, you saw nothing on Campaign until the preview the month before release.

Am I the only one that thinks this looks identical to halo 2? Aside from a few new additions, everything looks like it did in H2. The graphics, gameplay, music, etc.... all look identical to me. Granted I thought Halo 2 was an average title at best, so I dont exactly play it a lot, but I just dont see anything new here. Not like I was expecting atleast.

I agree, the graphics isn't bad but it's just not "good enough" as a sequel.
I think they need to fix the graphic more if they want to attract non-halo fan.

I applause bungie for keeping the core of halo gameplay with alot of new feature but the texture of the environment need some fixing, IMO.

You guys know that the graphics for single player and multiplayer are a little different right? They lower the polys and effects so they can keep a solid framerate during chaotic multiplayer.

When the single player info starts to come out, You'll all shit your pants.

I think it looks fine, I am sure it will look better in motion. I hope they bring back the option to turn on infinite grenades like in halo 1, I don't think you can do it in 2.

Looks fantastic, it has the same colour scheme and artistic style as Halo 2 because its a sequel but you can see the great improvements in lighting, texture work and level detail. Plus it really seems like all the additions on the weapon front are really cool and add to the game instead of being gimmicks.
