Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

Electronic Arts sent us what should be the last trailer of Dante's Inferno, confirming once and for all how disturbing and gory this game can be.

I need this game. I really want to find out what the mystery is, to Beatrice, and what Dante has done. He must have done some nasty stuff to get his GF into hell.

I was VERY close to buy it today, but the idea of ONE weapon from the beginning to end with doing somewhat the same combos over and over again puts me off, ALOT.
For such a genre, it is dissapointing.

But I will give them props for the idea of customizing missions of your own and upload it so others can play it and rate it and even play co-op with you (even though they copied this online co-op from NGS2 and NGS2 is still better just because the combat is better).

But ah well, if the game had other weapons I wouldnt be this harsh, I would buy it today as originally planned.

I will just watch the animated movie instead. I was planning on watching it after the game, and because i wont buy it, its safe to watch it.

hmmm below adverage review scores, less than exciting demo, 360 version coming with less content, trailers for dlc that add chapters as well as online shown complete yet not on the disc (the content that is, they were nice enough to stick the trailer on the disc), dodgy looking video game breasts, and God of war 3 in a few weeks....... Think i'm gonna pass this one.

You mean it's getting scores below 5.0?!
"It. Can't. Be." How appropriate to say, from this trailer.

Id say 5/10 is fair enough. Boring and frustrating failure ;( Thats sad that even such a poem, such potential got wasted and dumbed to fit modern gameplay mechanism. FaiL

Wow, pretty bad scores so far. I expected a better average but not really surprised I guess.

Might not even rent the game unless "user" scores are a lot higher, which they often are.

Considering everything and everyone is getting 8s and 9s these days 7 is below average.

I don't think 'anything and everyone' are getting 8s/9s. The high scores in recent months is because there have been a huge amount of great games released (MW2, Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed, Forza, Mass Effect 2 etc etc etc). If developers are making great games, they should receive great scores.

Beatrice made a deal with Lucifer that Dante won't cheat on her, because she slept with him before he would go to the cruciade

Guess what Dante has done

I got the game yesterday in the UK (was really intrigued on the setting and creative design) and it I'm loving it, sure the gameplay plays virtually identical to god of war (was playing the collection this week) but I personally really love the setting and the atmosphere of the game. Also love the look of the enemies and bosses etc and think it's fantastic. Sure it copies gameplay mechanics of another great series, but I won't knock as it doesn't do a bad job of it in anyway. I'm really enjoying traversing the nine circles of hell....have only got to lust though so I'm excited to explore more.

it isnt exactly "rush out and buy it" either, games in the 7's are generally good rentals.

What potential? The only potential the poem has for a game is, if it's a Myst mod. Tourist view of hell, with no interaction. At least this game has some creativity.

Even with the one weapon only stuff I decided to buy it.
From the getgo I loved everything I saw in the videos, but once I heard you only get one weapon from the beginning to end was annoying.

However, people who completed the game says the game has NEW GAME+ which to me means replayvalue from time to time, and add that Trials of St Lucia with its customizable mission modes from users and online co-op AND to play as St Lucia (which I love her design) its enough for me to buy it, especially with its settings and visuals effects.
And the Ps3 version has custom music (thank god) and you can wear Dante's crusader outfit from the beginning which I wanted.

Anyways, I just got pass the "demo" section in the full game so I hope its funn through out.
I will give props to these guys though, because they managed to make a big weapon to act very fast. Usually big weapons like cleavers and scythes are slow, but in this game they made it fast which is good.

Really? I haven't seen anything original in this game aside from some gruesome environments, really brown gruesome environments....

The 74% average will probably go down a bit once more reviews drop in, most of the positive scores for this game so far are from some pretty dubious sources.

Dude, all the stuff you haven't seen from the game is amazing. Every single level has something cool and fucked up to look at. You're climbing down a wall, when in fact it's a wall of human bodies screaming and moving. You see people falling down from the sky in flames in Limbo.

I've never seen raining men, and on fire! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_Q1NAYEp_s

Stupid demo and reviews misled me damn it!

I am heading to Gluttony circle, and damn I love it!
I unlocked more moves to both the scythe and the cross with some enhancements and 2 magic powers, very nice.

A few hours ago on gamespot were Jonathan Knight was talking and had a demo, I saw something I havent seen before.
Dante can use fire element on his scythe for his attacks, and it looked very cool, and some nice new cross moves.

Sure, one weapon is annoying, but I dont care when I like everything else about it alot. Now if only we could see St Lucia because I am dying to see how she will be as.
But I do hope we get to see another model of the scythe or weapon, but ah well.

Also, I am with Digi Matrix here, that level was awesome, looked exactly like the debut trailer, amazingly done by the devs that they have captured that wavy visual effects on the smoke and fire.

I hope you dont mean me :)

I only saw video reviews to see if they talked about any new weapons or even show any thats it.

I have gathered like epic orchestral music tracks that sounds "evil" to use its PS3 custom music for this game (thank you Visceral) so after my first playthrough I will start to play some, especially for Trials of St Lucia :)
