Xbox 360 PS3

Sega released the beast that is Sega Rally next week, in both the US and Europe. The first reviews have been pretty positive, saying that it reminds of a next-gen version of the old Sega Rally 2. And I'm not complaining at all!

Looks alright. I just wish they were more humble with their trailers. All the "you don't believe us do you?" was very off-putting.

really sticks to its sega rally arcade roots, which isnt a bad thing, although i dont think i could shell out full price for it, just not enough value, but the terrain deformation is absolutly fantastic!

i just spat my muffin over my laptop watching that trailer.... oh man, a bit pretentious, especially considering the games graphics arent that good

This is really in the game...what the really low res texture on top of the the snowy mountain?
don't get me wrong it is pretty, I wouldnt say it looks as good as errrrm motorstorm...I think the visual bar still has quite a way to climb as far as racing games go.

the track looks awesome, the track side detail less so.

Seconded. Except for the last part. Graphics aren't that good? It's not the tip of the iceberg but you can't call it bad otherwise. It looks crisp, bright and wonderfully colorfull.

The demo was a good bit of fun yeah, but I think the terrain deformation was way over exaggerated and uhh... the trailer seems to be on the same track. It would have been better with less of an 'in your face' approach, in my opinion.

But hey, a nice old school arcadey touch, bright scenery and pretty fun to play (probably even more so with some friends on the track). I can understand the good scores.
