Such a crazy ass good looking shot: http://images.gamersyde.com/image_castlevania_lord...

The hair solution is still similar to the first, and looks still a bit half-assed, like feathers in some parts: http://images.gamersyde.com/image_castlevania_lord...

Yes!

Also I am glad he uses a sword this time, they should also keep the whip so we have TWO weapons to choose from since i hate games with one weapon only.

Looks fantastic, hopefully they have worked out the kinks on the engine and camera from first one.

and fixed the shit jumping.

shoulda been and important part of combat/combos that are tied to jump, and almost 100% you jump, its a janky ass shit death sentence on how bad it feels/controls.

you gotta admit, for a relatively small unknown company their middleware solution on consoles is pretty damn impressive. As far as multiplat engines go they're one of the best 'visually'.

this truly is mercurysteam's time to shine, given the spanish economy I really hope this does as well as it deserves. David cox is a genuine fan of gaming and you can see that passion ooze out in every interview.

Yes.

And to add to that they pretty much beated SSM devs in the combat department with their first attempt.

IF they fix the framerate issues of the first in this one it will enter A tier action game.

Exactly, the jumping+camera angle is bad in the first game. You think you are good to jump, but you just jump to the side of catwalks sometimes because the camera doesnt let you see behind the character, pisses me off. Or when you are running in one direction the camera quickly changes angle and then your character is running in another direction because you were still holding the analog stick.

Static camera is so damn bad in these games I hate it. They provide only 2 good things, vistas and to be able to see more field view of your enemies, thats it.
I want cameras like NG, Bayonetta, DMC were it is constantly behind the character and I can move it manually with right analogstick.

But all in all, I dont mind the static camera in this one since artwork and vistas are one of the best I seen, they should fix the camera work and jumping for sure.

I agree on the weakest triler part.

About the second part I dont agree.

LoS IS a flawed masterpiece, the flaws of that game has nothing to do with the game itself but with the tech of it.

I am going to sink my teeth into this one.Did LOS1 have flaw, of course. All games have flaws, you can only hope that they will continue to work on fixing things in the next installments.

That's true. One of the best (genre wise) and at the same time one the worst (tech wise) i've played to this day. I was hoping all the time that Mercury Steam would fix the framerate issues later on but nothing happend to this day, i really hope they managed to fix that because i'm not so sure that i want to play with such poor framerates again (no matter how good it is as a game).

Lords of Shadow was such a missed opportunity. Great art squandered on an utterly brainless and tedious button masher. If this is an adventure, with proper freedom of movement and the ability to explore, and with the amount of combat vastly reduced, then perhaps it could turn out well.

Oh and the first one had the worst camera in the history of videogaming. I literally fought some battles looking at nothing but a screen filling pillar. It's class A bug stuff, which amazingly was left unfixed.

Its an action adventure game, any game that involves melee can be simply defined by "button mashing". And the combat had a strategy behind it with the light and dark powers.

It was the lack of unlockable content that made the game boring quick IMO. No outfits, no alternative weapons, nothing.
But I doubt it will change with this one, the only thing weaponwise is if they add sword and whip and we can change at will or something.

LOS was a missed opportunity for you. The game turned out well for many who enjoyed it.
