Perfect.

Shame they didnt add gameplay segments into the trailer when he gets the weapons to show them off. But art, music, atmosphere is fantastic and i liked the small pieces of scenes of combat in Konami pre-E3 video...good thing they will have demo at their show floor so we will get more!

Anyways, only game i need to play this year and end the current gen with it.

PS. Alucard looks awesome and that woman (vampire queen from LoS1?) looks beautiful!

Fck what anyone says - that was EPIC. (not you SplitTongue lol :p).

I'm sayin' though - this really looks like you will take control of Dracular .. I'm more curious to see how they expanded the combat .. instead of two (light/dark) switches, perhaps elements now (fire, water, etc) ... I'm stoked.

Get it on PC then? I am definitely getting it on laptop to avoid this framerate issue for the safety sake.

@Deafwing
The light/dark is different now. The power is sword to claws or whip. Atleast thats what i remember reading, so that combat system has changed.

I think the voice acting is awful, much like it was in the first. And I'm not sure about it being set on modern day for parts of it either, but aside from those things, it looks cool.

I thought the voice over was decent at best, but the voice over audio was horrible, it was muffled.
And when Gabriel talked it sounded one way but during combat when he grunts he starts to sound like Hulk.

I'm none the wiser if this will be any more than another button masher.

Also the modern day stuff looks awful, as expected. Why move from an age of beautiful architecture and nature, to an age of ugly box buildings? From an art point of view, it's a retarded decision.

We dont know how much of modern day it will take place, i am thinking none other than story cutscenes. And no the modern twist is good as long all the gameplay and majority of the game is set in the fantasy/old settings (not a fan of modern either, at all).

Also, all these games ARE button mashers when its combat time. Its not turn based or RTS or whatever.

The guy said you'll be exploring a massive modern day city and then said that the castle will still be there too. So I'm guessing some sort of 50/50 split. I'm kinda seeing something like darksiders 1, where there was a lot of dull city environments.

The recent 3DS Castlevania blended button mashing combat with exploration in the Metroidvania style. I'm curious to know if this will be the same, or if it will just be another arena fighter as the first one was.

Hmm, well modern day looks like shit compared to the impressive artstyle of the past setting, I dont know what to think of it. i mean it could be cool kind of like Underworld 1.

Ehm the first one was a arena fighter? Bayonetta, DMC, NG those are pure arena fighters. LoS has some puzzles, some platforming along with combat to along with it. Besides, its action adventure game, so combat is a big focus of the game along with puzzles and platforming.

Now I havent played Mirrors of Fate so I dont know how that game was like so I cant say anything regarding that title.
But interms of LoS i thought it was nicely mixed to not make it the same from start to finish.

C:LOS 1 was a really great game. Aliasing and framerate were the only issues. Well maybe fighting system was not so satisfying but still good enough. C:LOS 2 looks great but I probably would prefer to play it on PS4 in 1080p60. I hope they develop LOS 1&2 "fullhd collection" for PS4 :)

I dont like to be restricted to use weapons, especially with the whole "mana" thing going. I hope they do what Santa Monica did with GoW series.
You play the game once, collect items and then in NG+ you can turn on unlimited mana, auto QTE...etc. just to play around and have fun and experiment with the weapons as much as you want without worrying there is a time to think about.

On PC I will definitely use some sort of a trainer if that doesnt happen. Once I play the game I will use a Trainer to get infinite mana to use all weapons at their full potential from the start, but only once I beat the game normally.

It was confirmed by Brian Cox that they will have the demo at their E3 booth floor, so expect images and alot of pure raw gameplay footage!

The non fighting stuff in the original was totally throwaway and not worth mentioning. The game was 95% an arena fighter, and to me, a mind numbingly tedious one, despite the pretty artwork.

I didnt enjoy the combat so much either. Sure i liked the freeflow combat of combining every move anyhow you wanted and the impact the whip had unlike God of War series. But controls, framerate, bad hit reactions, clunky animations made it very bad.

But I got through it just so i could see more of the visual artstyle, hearing the music, and the sceneries and finishing the story.

But with LoS2 I hope they fix alot of stuff interms of gameplay to make it actually more fun and enjoyable.

Ah well, its all good.
