Trailer PC PS4 Xbox One Xbox 360 PS3

Shown behind closed doors at E3 now everyone gets to see a bit of in-game footage from Mad Max as well as new screenshots, all showing the lost world made of roads that lead to nowhere and in which only the savage survive. Warner Bros. and Avalanche Studios will release the game in 2014.

1) Not gonna lie, kinda disappointed that Max looks nothing like Mel Gibson.
2) WB revived Batman in gaming, but if this is going to tie into the new movie it might be rough.
3) Please none of you young kids complain about it being a Borderlands/Rage ripoff. Don't even do it.

It's not. Game could go for a very impressive looking current-gen game but Avalanche Studios aren't really that talented... hence why it looks a bit meh for next-gen.

Be nice to see some gameplay footage because this was clearly not gameplay footage. Looks ok, no more no less, if it's a nice big open world with lots of good RPG elements I'm sold, if not then I'm not :)

Me too. Mel IS Max, IMO. Well, at least he made him what he is. How great fan service would that be to have Gibson's visage and voice. I guess he's socially toxic to some people though...

Couldn't they even be bothered to get Australian voice actors, let alone license Gibson's face...

It just looks lazy and cheap in every respect, like a budget title.

They're getting an Aussie voice actor, they confirmed so not long ago. The lack of mel likeness is a bummer, but the less money that anti jew asshole gets for licensing the better. An awesomely in depth face generator would solve that though. But i doubt we'll get it. Just gonna have to settle for this mass effect looking mo-fo.

Ehh, I certainly don't condone Gibson's drunken rants, but I had always liked him as an actor. I'm constantly shocked by how many people make anti-Jew remarks- it's sad. Hell, half that Occupy Wallstreet movement was drenched in anti-semitic sentiment.

I don't get it, but that's nothing to do with Mad Max.

I'd love to see good character customization options, as Korn said. If your gonna take away Max's face, at least let us give it to him...

Studio has a tendancy to release on the edge of a generation, look at the first Just Cause. It was basically an uprezzed Xbox game on the 360.

The games got potential, but with such a bland, empty, open space, it needs to either have a ton of depth like Fallout, or some damn brilliant gameplay. This video showed neither.

I have high hopes since I thought Just Cause 2 was great mindless fun, but this pretty much fails to impress in all regards. Just Cause 2 came out years ago and had a massive, diverse world that looked better than this, along with destruction, huge cities, tons of vehicles and aircraft, and over the top action. I'm just not sure that I can see the same formula working with just cars in a desert and none of the fun stuff...
