UBI released this trailer of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, presenting the co-op part in the multiplayer mode. Hopefully those framedrops only is a result of a bad capturing setup. Update: 720p version added.
GOD this game looks amazing! Those jungles look great, and the desert environments really resemble the landscape in Mexico. This simply cannot come out soon enough.
Taken from ghostrecon.net forum (written by employee at RedStorm):
"..there seems to be some weird compression issues with that one [trailer] floating around (see the chugging in the video), and it is really low res."
Multiplayer seems just like ghost recon 2 and summit strike (DUH it uses an upgrade gr2:ss engine) wich is a really good thing IMO, i'm pretty excited about this game...
the multiplayer graphics are toned down from the single player but i dont play multiplayer to look at the lighting, looks great in the video preiews that i have seen

The difference is still pretty huge though, the levels in GR2 and Summit Strike were comparitively sparse and suffered from awful draw distances.
Will we be able to utilize Blackhawks and the minigun in co-op/deathmatch MP? Sucky thing is you won't be able to do some of the "acrobatic" moves and Wall covering in MP.
This kind of shows how great the SP engine is. Besides the MP not having tiling (which affects anti-aliasing and a number of other effects), the lighting, grass, models, etc... are just a step down. In some ways it looks very similar to the SP footage they showed 6-8 months ago--UBI did a GREAT job of improving the SP in that time.
The MP gameplay looks hot. Co-op for the win! Looks like a great MP entry and should be a ton of fun.

I can't believe they are still toning down graphics in MP on the Xbox 360.. The aliasing in this trailer is appalling..
Luckily I prefer my PC for games like this, no such issues there.. I'm sorry, but it's just a fact..
The MP was done by a different team who used an upgraded engine instead of a new one. Has nothing to do with "toning down" but with this fact: You are creating a game and the engine is not done. You can stick a ton of people on the SP part and push it out, but co-developing a MP version (which requires a lot of testing) is too much time so you take the route of letting the MP team start earlier on gameplay by using an upgraded engine.
And like has been said by Blim on this site: SP uses a new engine that tiles (meaning nice "free" AA) whereas the MP does not.
Watching the video I hope you noticed it said that some of the MP campaign is exclusive to the 360.

Well, with Blim as our source on that bit of info, I suggest you give us a link to a statement from a more credible source, before we "stop" saying that.
What about coop? I never really understood what version of the engine that uses and whether or not the single player missions will be playable at all in coop. The biggest graw - er, draw - for me is certainly the prospect of going through the single player campaign (with those yummy graphics) with a friend.
If it's reduced to the multiplayer engine with no wall hug/slides/dives in coop I'll be right miffed.
the game won,t look like those pictures - something wrong with the trailer as blim say. when the game is release it will look way better than the trailer and the images.

Tbh I don't give a **** what the reason is why the MP looks worse, point is it does and that just sucks.. End of story..
I've also not seen a lot of games (if any) that use different engines for SP and MP, and it's not like I started gaming on PC and gameconsoles and following the industry yesterday.. I find it a very strange descion (if true), especially when the MP looks much worse because of it..
Good if it's Xbox 360 exclusive, because if it's like this on the PC aswell I certainly won't buy this game ( I doubt I will anyway, more looking forward to UT2007 and ET:QW)..
Edit: I see there appears to be something wrong with the trailer, lets hope for the people wanting this game on the Xbox 360 that's the reason why the aliasing etc is so appaling in this trailer..
That honestly looks horrible. I'll make full judgement on the game once i've tried a demo of it, but that video, including those pictures make the game look like a regular Xbox game. It's still looked decent in other pictures, so it still warrants a play.
