Trailer PC

A few weeks ago Ubisoft released exclusively on Youtube a trailer of Watch_Dogs showing the various enhancements the Nvidia GPUs would add to the PC version of the game. Well finally this trailer is available in higher quality, and for more informations about these enhancements and the Geforce/Watch_Dogs bundle, head over to Geforce.com

It looks good, there's no doubt about that. But it is nowhere close to what they first showed.

On top of that, I'm seriously disappointed by some elements in the trailer. Cars drive over puddles on the street but the puddles of water do not react with the tires at all. The lightning you see sometimes is well overdone if you ask me.

All in all I still think it looks good but not nearly as good as first pictured and not nearly as good to be called the first actual next-gen game. (in terms of graphics and based on trailers of course as I didn't play the game at all)

I was just wondering where this particular trailer of the game was. It would have been nice if they had released a no voice-over version.

I´m currently around 15 hours in on the PC-version of Sleeping Dogs with the high res-DLC installed. That game sometimes look so unbelievable in 60fps that I have a really hard time getting impressed by Watchdogs. I would even dare to say that SD at some points even rival the E3 2012-reveal in pure graphic fidelity.

Yup, second son too. But this was bound to happen. You delay a game and those once shiny visuals get bettered by other games and stop being so shiny...and that's ignoring the visual downgrade that blatantly happened.

Literally. If Ubi would have focused on making this a purely current gen title, then we might have a game that actually looks like what we were shown 2 years ago. I just thought that we were done with trailers showing dreamy pie in the sky footage ever since last gen's killzone fiasco. But I've been proven wrong.

I know i'll be playing watch dogs the ways it's meant to be played. :P I'll get it on a steam sale, maybe during Christmas holiday. The wonderful thing about PC gaming is that on the same system you can play every single Tomb Raider game for example from the 1st game to the true definitive edition. PC gaming FTW, there's no better way to game. :)

PCs are great, but I've gotta have my console. Something about it just doesn't feel the same. Just like I'd never play RTS games on my console.

Also, I don't really like to go back to old games. Sort of depressing when I realize the graphics are nowhere near what I remembered. Wish they would do true remasters. Not just the same game and character models with slightly better textures.

I have both console and PC, and lately (4 months to be exact) I've been gaming on my PC more. (do to a way bigger selection of games)

with steam console mode and a XB or PS controller the experience is almost the same. the only things different besides booting into windows is the size of the box, and how much up front you want to spend. when you get into the actual gaming you don't feel much of a change. it's all about making things convenient for you.

remastering usually involves polishing up existing detail. Remakes are what you mean. the thing is, is with Remakes and remasters they're selective choice by done by the developers.

Now On the other hand With PCs, you have MODs, which can possibly turn out as good a remake, if the conditions are optimal for MODers.

Thats weird. Driving around at night with the citylights reflecting in the wet tarmac, just to give an example, sure looks next-gen and beyond for me. Imo matching the similar scenes in Watch Dogs anno 2012. Are you sure you pumped up the graphics to the max level and not "only" enabled the resolution-DLC?

Still, it's gonna be mainly about gameplay and not graphics. Game looks great anyway and gameplay as well.

here we go again, console limitation restricting the PC version excuse but who really cares that much, looks like anyone who invested in a high end GPU ie GTX 780/R9 290X has pretty much wasted their money unless you are playing at 2560x1440 or higher as that's where the PC shines, lets just wait and see if a HD texture patch is released for the PC version after launch.

That's how I see it from videos. I'm not demanding when it comes to extremely rich missions and side missions, activities and mini-games and stuff. Just give me somethign to hack, something to drive and someone to kill and I'm satisfied.

doesnt the "press x to hack" seem a bit dissapointing though. like, there's litterally nothing to it, it's just another contextual ability like every other game with abilities? i dunno... maybe my expectations shouldn't have been too high given it's a ubisoft game, but still, seems weird to have this potential gameplay mechanic and make it about as brain dead as possible.

Yeah...maybe You are right. But since I still play a lot of 8-bit era games, I really don't give a damn, if this game has this feature and that feature.

I will buy it and if it's gonna be bad, I will sell it. Reviews are usually only from the perspective of only one or two persons and that's something I really ignore. Always trying to get my hands on it.
