Xbox 360 PS3

THQ and 2XL Games release this first trailer of Baja, their off-road rallye game inspired from the famous race that goes on thousands of miles through Mexico. Between Motorstorm and MX vs ATV, Baja should offer gigantic terrains randomly generated. To be continued this summer on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

That looked alright, worth a rent.

And if it proves to be a great rent, I'll buy it to hold me over until MotorStorm2.

This could be fun. Doesn't look amazing but it's got 4 player split screen which is a def plus for me

I agree. Doesn't look amazing, but doesn't have to be. Offline multiplayer is always a plus in my book. It's a shame so many devs are too fcking lazy nowadays.

This is from the top guys who left Rainbow Studios after Sony bought it, so despite the graphics looking underwhelming in the 20 seconds of gameplay it should be noted that the actual gameplay will be steller.

And remember, the terrain is procedurally generated, so you can't expect razor sharp, perfectly mapped out environments, seeing that it isn't mapped out.

Looked horrible in comparison to the real-life footage they showed. Smart move.

looks crap to me. i wanna see a game that can do the dust clouds shown in the real life footage at the begining. would be awesome.

EDIT : what happened to that other racer that was similar to this, it was announced way back when the current gen consoles where just coming out. cant remember the name of it.

This game will be great. You can't compair it with Motorstorm because that is a arcade game (i'm a PS3 owner, but Motorstorm is CRAP!) Bring it on!!!! PS3 needs a REAL dirt-master. (Dirt was CRAP too!!)

lol, motorstorm is a damn sight better then how this currently looks. tbh. same can be said about DiRT. may not have had the best handling model, but at least it was fun. this just looks boring. if your going to do this off-road type racer you have to do it like motorstorm and go really OTT otherwise all your doing is racing laps in the dirt...BORING.

Oh god!
I've been on the edge wether to buy Forza 2 or not. I like the car modability, but I HATE doing laps on straight asphalt.
Now it seems I'll get to modify my offroad vehicles, and I fukken love offroad racing.

I haven't heard anything about randomly generated terrain, if that's any good this will be the ultimate racing game for me.

The graphics aren't top notch but then again, I don't really care.

Smart!

The thing I don't like about the other games mentioned here is the fact that you're always constrained to a set course (or a set course with shortcuts).

With this, it looks like you can just fuck about if you want (one of the few things I liked about World Racing), which means my fiance will like it too!

I can understand you like arcade games. But i don't like the idea that i can jump around a big mountain like the Hulk as in Motorstorm. The phisics in Motorstorm aren't that good either. I even prefer Flatout (for PS2) before Motorstorm! But hey, i can't argue you're prefere arcade games! I am just more into 'sim' games.

Hm, well, but Flatout isn't THAT much a sim, too ^^ But a very great game, indeed!
When it comes to races of every sort, I like both, sim and arcade. And this game, BAJA, seems to make fun. Looking forward to it.

The ONLY thing going for this game are the seemingly fun driving and crash physics. But if it runs that poorly in the final product it has no place on the market except fooling fans of this type of racing into buying it on impulse.

Might be decent, but is probably mediocre or poor.
