PC Xbox 360 PS3

Activision and Treyarch unveil the next episode of the Call of Duty series. It's called Call of Duty: World at War and it's developed by Treyarch, those who already brought you the third episode. The game will be released God-knows-when on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

finally! a good looking WWII game based on the pacific. looks amazing! and yes, i know its treyarch not infinty ward but i thought call of duty 3 was really good as well so i have good expectations for this

I don't expect as much from this as from CoD 4. Call of Duty 3 was EASILY the worst game in the series. Even if they are using the same formula. Still it should be agreat game, and the new stuff like coop is gunna be great.

And yet scifi's aren't? Orcs and elfs and goblins aren't? Swords and magic? Hack and slash? Even modern warfare has been done over and over and over. The difference is WWII is one of the most important things to ever happen on our planet in our history. There is very little room for making an original game, or even an original genre.

this looks really generic and uninspired(reminds me of medal of honor game).
and yes you can say:its just a trailer how can you judge a game based on how its trailer is represented.
well here is just 2 words for you:mirror edge.

a trailer gives you a taste of what to come and the taste that i get is a maximum 8 taste.
but that doesn't mean the game sucks its just generic good :p
nothing special nothing new just good old ww shooter.

Modern Warfare is obviously the most well-liked, as seen with how well Battlefield 2 did over the older BF games that were WWII based, and then COD4 outselling all of the others. If however you are after something to take the series forward, you're best off waiting for IW's offering.

i don't know whats been released of information on the locations in the game, but there are some scenes from the eastern front @00:42. I hope this will be a somewhat good game but i doesnt look good...

I'm pretty sick of WWII games, but I'm I'll buy it if it will be good... As for now, the trailer is much better than I expected... Sure it's not COD4, but it can still be fun.

I'm sure this game will confuse newcomers who've just started on CoD 4, especially if it is presented different or plays differently.

I'm also somewhat glad that there is no actual number "5" in that title.

Extremely debatable and complete relative on to what scope that you give WWII. The most important in US history? Easily top 5 at worst, but IN THE WORLD? Hell no.

US history? US history is so short in the grand scale of things it's totally irrelevant. WW2 however was, as it's name implies, a world wide event, which few wars have ever been. It also had one of the worst genocides of all time, so yes, it was one of the most important events in human history.
