I really, really hope that People can fly brings the fun back. Gears of War 3 single-player was more like a techical showpiece to shove into butthurt fanboys assholes, and played nothing as fresh and enjoyable as going trough deadtraps made of internal organs, cutting some hearts of giant worms, or defending the top of giant trucks from a siege of locust, or even playing with light to clear a path of kryll.
I want good gameplay design from PCF, and vast ammounts of crazy.
i hope you guys recognize that it maybe pre-rendered videos (i still think that there were some of it on Gears 3, but much impressive cutscenes were also realtime too), until the actual gameplay part comes in.
and some things from those shots. whoa, some jaggie detection there? and there isn't almost no color filter there... the brown from Gears 1&2 or the yellow from 3 is gone, it has a blueish/witheish tint like killzone 2, but the colors pop-out better.
And the armour plates look like actually metal plates, just as in the first Gears.

Not saying it's mid-gears 2 & gears 3 locust crazies that are almost like hiveminded mutated locusts, but it's really the subject of emulsion in some way, like the lambent wretches that exploded in the first gears.
looks really nice visuallly, but i honestly thought the guys behind bulletstorm where going to do something diffferent when they got their hands on it...i guess not.

the situations are the things that were awesome in the first and second games, and not that much in the third. those, won't be spoiled in sneak peak trailers.

I agree, I decent liked Gears 1 but hated the movement, then when got a 360 again i played Gears 2 and thought it was good, played Gears 3 and i LOVED it. Only issue I have with Gears is that fucking stupid crap character Cole, abnoxious to listen to.
But this one, I will play it at some point, but it plays exactly and looks exactly like Gears 3, though visually it looks a bit better. I just wished they stopped the series with Gears 3 and they worked on another IP instead, a new one and wait for next gen for a Gears game.

Energy? Same as the Queen's monster shot cancer lighting out of its butt. This takes place before Gears 1 btw.
And Gears 2 was awesome, my favorite campaign easily.

That's exactly why Gears 3 was the best, because of the superior multiplayer. You can finish the campaign in a week but the multiplayer is what you play for months in any good shooter.
Really wish they weren't releasing this lame cashgrab though. It's just going to make it even harder to find a full lobby in Gears 3.
