PC PS2 Xbox Gamecube

Ubi today released this trailer from Prince of Persia: T2T (T2T kind of looks funny... yeah). I'm sure it looks impressive to the ones who likes this genre.

lol, I'm the same way, if theres no online I'm like "whats the point?" If I can't call my friends various negative terms while playing, theres not much joy in it, unless it's one of biowares rpg's.

well not every game was meant to be played with 16 people. sometimes you got to play on your own and enjoy a game for what it is. There ain't nothing but cheaters and glitchers online anyway.

Oh come on. Even Kameo has an online mode.
I'm not saying that co-op on Xbox 1 733 mhz would be that fun - but why chose this in december, when Kameo is out that time with the same price?

I hate Xbox 1 2006 games. I don't know if Microsoft somehow tricked them, but seeing Far Cry Instincts and Halflife 2 on Xbox 1 makes me cry. Even if they are the best looking Xbox 1 games - who cares, when Xbox 360 is soon released?

Oh Well.
To be honest with you: im not a big Multiplayer-Fan. I love Battlefield 2, but thats it.
I mean, Quake 4 is my most wanted game right now, but even if i`m looking forward to its multiplayer mode, the single player campaign is what i want to play most badly.
I think i played Burnout Revenge one time over xbox live, thats it.
single player is a lot more fun for me. Escpacially when it comes to games with a great storyline and presentation, like Shenmue, Final Fantasy and MGS. Come On, Online is finde, but i dont think its the future of games. We still need single player focused titles.

Manager, with you being all admin-y I probably should be afraid of you and everything, but that's probably the stupidest thing I've heard in like.. a week.

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was a brilliant, engaging single player experience with just enough story and some wonderful, memorable puzzles. Sure enough, Warrior Within was an embarrassing attempt at appealing to a broader audience, but some are certainly hoping that this can live up to SoT. Me included.

I hate to bring it out to you, but the Quake 4 SP mode is around 10 hours - and, according to PCG - sucks.

I absolutely agree on those games. Shenmue, absolutely. But, it ends there. I wish I could say any platformer, where the story often rocks - but just look at Kameo. It shows that it can have both a kickass single player mode (or, at least I hope it will), but also an multiplayer co-op mode.

MGS would be fun over Xbox Live, specially co-op. But yeah, Shenmue should stay offline.

Sure thing, we all have different opinions. But when I can play like Elder Scrolls and really evolve: rising in levels, finding new stuff - or playing PGR3, buying new cars to brag about - I really, really don't care about running around in some stupid offline castle, doing stuff that in the end only gives me a nice story and some new weapon. What the hell - I can read a bloody book if I want a good story. ;)

But yeah, sure. Many thinks killing people with swords are fun, jumping around. I really don't though. I want to see that I'm going somewhere. Climbing the highscore lists or rising levels, getting new attacks and weapons.

Well, discussing this is pretty pointless since you obviously can't see the appeal of Prince of Persia. "...running around in some stupid offline castle" is also one of the less insightful lines I've read in regards to that game.

However, I think it's slightly insulting to people who aren't as keen on "running around in some stupid online RPG world collecting stupid attacks and weapons and rising in some stupid level" as you are and quite fancy themselves an offline adventure that challenges their puzzle solving noggins, that you express these rather condescending views in the news blurb.

Do mind that I have nothing against either online games nor RPG's, I'm simply trying to put it into perspective for you.

Yeah, but if you would take everything on the net seriously, you would go nuts. That's only how I see it, and of course I know people likes the series - it sells good. It's just the same with EA - even if people hate it, it's still a fact: People enjoy Need for Speed and the sports games. I don't know if PoP is that hated though?
I really really don't like MMORPG's though. WoW was OK, but to me, it got booring fast.

Anyway, PoP2 got great reviews. I just hate how many of the most popular series, episodes from them, are released now - when we should have gotten them on Xbox 360 instead. I know it's great for Xbox owners that won't buy Xbox 360, but it's a little bit strange. I mean, this autumn is like the best Xbox games autumn ever.
Hey, just two-three years left til' Prince of Persia 360.

And what's up with Sega, releasing this crazy amount of Sonic-games NOW?

But with an online mode all would be forgiven, yaaay!

Listen, I don't mean to complain about your personal taste. And sure, if you think PoP would be a better game with an online option (why!?!?!?) then that's your opinion and everything. I just feel that as news posters you may want to not sound like everyone who plays the game in question is a complete idiot.

Edit: I misunderstood your post for a sec, Snoopers, never mind. :D

Edit 2: Oh and just so we're clear, I'm not trolling or anything. I think I've said what I needed to say. You guys run a great site, I shouldn't complain.

Not everyone is going to upgrade to the 360 right away. Some developers would also rather hold off on learning new hardware and just focus on what they have been doing with current gen. Current gen console aren't going to die off right away when a new console generation comes out, it usually takes a year or two. I wouldn't be suprised if we see a lot of new XBOX games in the next few years.

What do people get out of playing single player games? A fun experience not ruined by 12 year olds swearing at you and saying how leet they are. It seems you would rather show how cool you are online to the other players than sitting down and enjoying a nice single player experience. If that is what you would rather do then thats great, but the way you put it in the news above makes it seem like you think people are idiots for liking single player games. Online is great and all, but single player games will always hobr a much better expierence for alot of people.

Yeah, well, I'm absolutely not saying anything about those, and I really don't think, and I don't hope, anyone do get sad.
People like different genres. Some like puzzles, some like FPSs. Some like everything, some don't. I really think we should be able to express our, well, feelings about many of the games. That's the nice thing with being a fansite. ;)

I'm not saying PoP would be better with an online mode. I'm saying that the whole genre sucks. ;)

bloodforge:
Yeah, many players out there sucks. That's the nice thing with XBL: friends list. Kick function. And now, with Xbox 360, where you really can give comments to other gamertags, and even ignore them totally and never play in their games.

**EDIT**
Oh what the hell, main news changed. ;)

I never really cared what the press says. If PCG says it sucks, well, they should play a childish shooter game like serious sam 2. I like mean and serious games and i loved quake 2, i even love it today, love classic shooters in general, so i`m not worried about the quality of quake 4...
