Thats an early build right, because the textures look very pasty and plain on Sam?

Nah, that's just the quality of this video. I can't say anything bad about this game because I've already seen videos here on Xboxyde that had much better quality and higher resolution. This game is no slouch in terms of graphics. Believe me.

I still don't think it's anything AMAZING.

It's probably because the environments are light, which makes you notice that Splinter Cell never really had amazing textures in the first place, it was just too dark to tell.

I so will own those two scumbag terrorists.

But this seems to be the least exciting level visually.

Sometimes it feels like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and Splinter Cell are gradually becoming the same game, taking elements from one another

Well they are all supposed to be realistic tactical shooters. It's kinda like how most FPS/run & gun games feel alike. Actually is anyone but Ubisoft making these types of games?

gameplay and the dual decisions rocks... and the quality of the video is low... not to mention its a bright level... dont forget 99% of games aren't bright like this for this very reason its hard to look good in bright light, but its nice to see a game take a shot at it.

This is DEFINITELY an early build! I just compared some of the screenshots from the gameplay demo to the trailer, and the demo looked much better looking.

This is after all just only a half-step away from a port of the XBox/PS2 versions--it's not like GRAW, which had its own development team and cycle.

The gameplay looks like it has not evolved too far beyond what Chaos Theory offered.

Also, I'm personally not a big fan of Ubisoft's obsession with building their games around TV show storytelling (see also: Rainbow Six: Las Vegas) at the cost of the sharpness and focus of the game design.

The first game solidified stealth. The second solidified multiplayer stealth. The third emphasized choice of stealth and my preferred alternative--the knife. The fourth introduces...television drama?

All in all, I fully expect this installation to be the least impressive of the series, but I'm ready to be surprised.

That trailer was ugly, why did Xboxyde post this? This is clearly from an early build check out youtube, gamespot, and gametrailers for much better videos portraying the near final build graphics which are just mindblowing. This trailer definitely did no justice to the game, it's only a teaser to the trust meter in the game. DO NOT judge this game's graphics based on this awful trailer. Believe me, this is one the most graphically impressive next-gen games seen to date, seriously.

If you did more research into the game's story, it's a lot more engaging and deep than some tv show. Sam's now a double agent and he has to infiltrate a terrorist group, JBA, which means the gameplay becomes more deep and involving as you have to choose whether supporting NSA or JBA. There are loads of twists and turns and there will be multiple endings. It's the right evolution of Splinter Cell, and if you thought stealth is out just because it's a daytime level, you're very wrong. Stealth is even more integral now.

This is most probably the Xbox or PS2 trailer. This is certainly not the Xbox 360 version (which should have been obvious by the low res textures and the crummy animation)
