Microsoft finally released a good quality version of the "Damocles" trailer for Ryse: Son of Rome release a few days ago. Here it is, then, and let's hope the rather nice story trailer released yesterday on youtube will follow soon...

Loved everything about this trailer. The scale and big battles, the voice acting, the sense of story, the smoothness of the animations, and of course the visuals displayed in this trailer are some of the best visuals Ive ever seen in an action game. Truly impressive stuff. definitely one of my launch titles for sure.

Ok ok sure the visuals are good but does anyone else agree this game just seems so painfully generic and bland, from setting to gameplay to style? Sure it's arguably the best looking graphics come launch but past that I still don't see anything exciting about this game.

I agree with that. Looks nice, but that's about as far as i can go in terms of compliments. But it's crytek, they do nice graphics...they don't do good games. I'd be genuinely surprised if it gets good reviews, much like knack.

There's no point if the game isn't good. Some may just want a pretty game and nothing else, but I expect a game with a solid story and that's fun to play. Anything short of that will be a disappointment, no matter how impressive it looks.

The game looks like it's shaping quite nicely.

I really wish this game was multi-platform so the incessant nit-picking could end. It's almost the best looking game coming so far next gen and all you see is people who have no intentions on buying it or ANY Xbox One game or system trying like hell to find a problem with it. If you don't want it, why keep following it every article to point out the flaws?

This game has looked haggard (gameplay) at every event where the public was allowed to touch it. It's no shocker that it receives a fair bit of criticism.

People would still think this looks like a bad game if it were multiplatform.

The character model, faces are good. That is a nice way to impress. Although game using in game asset and in game gfx are different. Still impressive trailer I think 90% people won't even know it running at 1600*900.
