The visual style in this game is deliciously insane and the gameplay looks fantastic, i hope this turns into a franshice to compete with ninja gaiden and dmc.
There's a story to this game? A story?! Me thunks the only story needed is "big monsters don't like you, kill em or be smashed". Enough motivation for me.
The game does look hot, however. But then so did Devil May Cry 4 . . . until I got my hands on the demo.
God of War 3 is going to be the beat'em up to beat (no pun intended), and Dante's Inferno ain't looking to shabby either. From what was shown at E3, I still think Bayonetta is looking hot, but this video did not do the game any favors. If anything, this video has instilled in me a series of worries about Bayonetta, that harken back to worries I should have spotted in DMC4 prior to it's release. This video just makes everything from story, to game play look questionable.
That stated, I'm still keeping an open mind here. Engrish voice dub aside, I am hoping the rest of the game turns out to be as spectacular as the Bayonetta showing at E3 led me to believe this game is going to be.
It looks great and i'm expecting this game to feature some of the tightest action so far this generation. God of War is good and all but if this game lives up to the legacy of it's creators it'll just blow the competition straight out of the water. Comparing this to the utterly mediocre farce that was DMC 4 is not fair as the team behind that game also made the atrocious DMC2.
