I would love to know how actual hand-to-hand Titan combat will flow? Just a sequence of QTEs? I hope not...

The videos from the VGX's where more hype killing then hype building imo. If anything it almost cemented my worry that it is in fact a bit of a one trick pony.

Yeah... class based mech multiplayer mixed with awesome looking mobile infy. Horrific. This has nothing to do with it not coming to PS4.. lol.

Why is everyone trying so hard lately?

Different opinion. i forgot if it is called BF/titanfall or mario we're not allowed to speak ill..lol. Screw that. These trailers just made it look boring, completely one trick, we saw all this stuff at the reveal. on the plus side, it's out very soon so there is less time to be completely bored by it. Watchdogs should be doing the same thing, release ASAP before the good vibes dry up.

Where is Stryder trailer?

Ogre trailer made me say "hmm, ok".

Stryder made me say "whaaaa?" More different mechs with different attributes?

Sign. Me. Up.
(As if I wasn't signed up enough already)

Yep. Probably the best looking early title of the lot. It just looks fun, and different.

It seems like a nice idea...I have seen pretty much all the trailers for this but I just can"t shake the sensation that this game might degenerate into MechAssault 2 on Xbox 1 where highjacking other mechs seemed like a great idea...but then in practice it was abused and hated online and then people moved to other games...

I have a serious fear that people are gonna think of this as a FPS with mechs...oh wait.

Also just wanted to mention that the whole idea of the "mech" dropping from the sky, not leaving a crater, not taking damage, aka violating the laws of physics all on a safe to say single platform (Xbox One and PC are Direct X 11.1 basically) really bothers me...

There really should be something more..otherwise its starting to feel like early or current call of Duty games where people make ridiculous jumps from second and third floor buildings and (these are humans instead of mechs) take hardly any damage on last gen.

Titanfall is all about gameplay...I'l take that 1 trick pony!

Not often we get games these days built around gameplay first and foremost.

I have to kinda agree..the latest vids didn't get me more hyped for the game. From what I know it looks like mechs replace perk packages..so instead of getting better packages by stocking up killing sprees you get better mechs right? or do you pick which mech you get supplied with before a game as part of your loadout? either way I wish they had more unique abilities other than speed and damage intake...which it looks like is what separates them.

Game still looks fun to play. Nice fast twitch shooter. Like to see how their campaigns worked into it.. if its a consistant battle that moves between parts of a level..or if they're just maps that take you back to a lobby in between

Titans in every demo thus far are timed, and not acquired by streaks. There's a lot of criticism here that is less than fully informed.

That said.. if you're not into the online-only thing, the campaign dressings probably aren't going to do it for ya.

My main concern: can we get mod tools? It would be fantastic if the community could create a comp mode in this game.

Modding needs to come to console games full stop now. Hell it doesn't take a genius to figure out that mods keep a game from being sold on more than dlc does..but then you cant charge for mods can you.

You know what i'd really like to see with this game an ability to attach two mechs together..force more teamwork. I'm not sure how the logistics of it would work, i'm not a game developer.. But if say two titans get a set amount of kills and have the option to find one another and attach I would imagine it could work like vehicles in BF..somebody drives and had one gun, another person has the other.. just give the mechs twice the armour..or combine "special abilities".

You totally can still sell extra content and support mods though. It's just harder. Some people do it, mostly not multiplayer games, but it's out there. Bethesda instantly came to mind.

Frankly, with the way they make you grind for content and the popularity of that meta-game, all they'd need to do in a game like Call of Duty or Battlefield is disallow any connection between modded games and the ranking/unlock system.

They'd still draw huge crowds there. I think it all depends how they're going to deliver content. I mostly miss them because they allowed the community to continue to tweak and balance the game for competition. Which is becoming more and more of a necessity since games on the whole are built for pubbing and that sorta structured environment is largely ignored. The best DICE will do for us is offer us a LOT of custom server settings. Which is nice.. but.. it's not as cool as it used to be.
