The first two games did not really make it big when they were released but Activision is ready to give it one more try with a whole new episode of True Crime: Hong Kong. Provided they improve the formula of the two previous titles, it might finally be able to compete with the GTA series.

Be interesting to see actual gameplay of this..as if it's keeping the open world setting i really doubt it's going to look like the trailer
lets hope and wait what they will bring in this third installment
Is first two sells well? They were horrible.
And I guess this means I can stop pestering the old developers about making a True Crime 3.
-First part was an all-out 80's Hong Kong classic, it totally breathed atmosphere with excellent gameplay and musics.
-2nd game is a power-house of technology. Seriously, you can't get any sandbox game even today that has full rain wetness in city complete with real-ime reflections, dynamic shadowing, water physics and passenger reflections on cars. It basically failed due to bad execution. But damn, it was addictive!!!
-This 3rd game reeks with culture... the hard-boiled, police-story sort you know... more 80s goodness, and from the trailer, it shows a variety of gameplay types and Yakuza 3 like on-foot chase sequences. That, topped with how fairly they embeded politan sandbox technology into the 2nd game, I trust the team, they'll deliver. Its my GOTY for 2010 approved!
