Bioware released two new videos of Mass Effect 2. The first one introduces us with the soldier class while the second is in fact a modified version of the Subject Zero trailer that was shown some time ago. Once again, it's a great opportunity to see that the work the developers have achieved on the character faces is just phenomenal.

Unfortunately the phenomenal face animations are all pre rendered and not ingame.
The ingame faces are not that a big a step-up from the first game.
Games like Uncharted 2 animate better in my opinion. But than again that is an action game and this is an RPG.
I wonder if the pre rendered quality will ever be achieved ingame?

As for the Subject Zero character: It's Sinead 'o Conner tattooed up. I like her attitude but I can't imagine chatting her up in the game for some virtual sex. :-D

Agreed, in-game both the animations and facial expressions are awkward at best. Still, game looks great visually.

Hopefully this will be as much as an improvement over ME1 as I'm hoping it to be...

Jesus Christ, she's just a fucking character, FFS. Dry your eyes. If you don't like her, drop her from your squad. If you don't like her, then all the more reason to piss her off in game and tell her to go fuck if the option ever comes up in dialog. Sorted.

She'd be filth in the sack, though. Probably bite yer balls off.

I will have to echo the sentiments that subject zero is an awful character design, way over the top and cluttered visually and just hugely fucking annoying in terms of personality.

In fact, what the fuck where they thinking when not only does she not fit the universe at all (more like a background character for a cyberpunk story) but she is well below the series usual high standards for character design.

an just imagine my soldier Rayne Shepard smirking like Arnie in T2 when she sees the arsenal she'll get to play with.

Actually SZ's attitude is alot like how my Shepard was at the beging of the game. Being the sole survivor or Torphan really did a number on her. But thanks to her becoming a Spector and finding a purpose in life again she was able to mellow out a little, Just don't piss her off or she''ll put a boot up your ass (Just ask the council, oh that's right they're toast).
