You'll have to wait a few more days to discover our verdict about Days Gone, but thankfully we are authorized to share a few short videos of the game with you. I'm just hoping amazon do a better job of delivering my collector's edition of this Days Gone on time than they did for my collector's edition of Devil May Cry 5.

Saw an amazing video on YT of snow starting to fall in the game and how it slowly transforms the landscape. Great stuff, roll on Friday.

I mean, cool i Guess. But a slow asset swap isn't that :o. CryEngine Rain puddles did stuff like this eons ago. I wan tangible volumétric stuff. See hail layers forming as they fall in something like that. That is Next gen. Like blood splatter/Gibs example... In estou 3d fps body exploding makes a blood textur with impacto of Gibs. In Ninja Gaiden 2 the Gibs glue with physics in the surface. In ass odyssey and ghost of tushushima you are a 3d modeef blood spray leaving blood decalc as it comes in contact with the surface. All in all, asset swap for asset swap isn't news as in the Next gen leap. Making it seamless is a good effort though

And how many open world Cryengine games use this? Exactly. You know that Unreal Engine 4 has loads of tech demos out there too of what it can do too, a lot of stuff that no dev would dream of ever putting into their actual developed game (well except Rare, they REALLY focused 95% of the engine on the ocean in that game).

Cryenge is so good and yet still can't beat this 2006 bit of wizardry in an actual launch game for PS3.

Like I said, this snow thing looks great in this AAA open world game that is releasing in 4 days time. A bit of a "far cry" (lol ironically Crytek's only and last actual great game) from all the tech demo/theoretical/smoke stuff you just mentioned.
What resolution and fps does cryengine game Kingdom Come Deliverance run at on the same 2013 console that runs some of the best looking games this gen?

its the only game i know of to do it, and the fact it does it on this scale is kind of mind boggling. it's no wonder it had delays. to make every asset work in all weather conditions must be a monumental task, but it adds so much. and the fact the freakers behaviours ties into weather patters just adds to it.

I like the weather system in this game. Also the graphics have got quite an update during last few months.
Still dont give a damn about the whole bikers thing tho. Overall the gameplay loop looks kinda ok, very similar to Far Cry and Horizon, but without the awesome enemy types the latter had.
But will give it a try, once they release the challenging survivor difficulty in june.
