I certainly think that FEAR one was a lot more heart pounding and scary, but FEAR 2 felt and looked WAY better as far as shooting and such went.
shooting mechanics where indeed better, but the AI was WAY worse, thus making the experience itself kinda crap. fear 1 was a half enjoyable game due to it's amazing AI, let down by some seriously underwhelming visuals. fear 2 was more of the same but worse in most ways. i dont have much faith in yet another sequel. and visually it's going to look like utter crap unless they've got a new engine. cos fear 2 looked terrible compared to what consoles where dishing out at the time.

I was very disappointed by the AI regression in F2. Considering that was one of the great things about the first and to drop the ball for the second was ridiculous...

i know, i thought that would have at least been as good as the first game, if not better. how they managed to take some of the best AI in a game EVER, and make it as so-so as it was in fear 2 is beyond me. the one thing i thought they couldn't fuck up, they did...lol

Have to say when the first F.E.A.R came out on PC the Graphics looked great, hence why it was a benchmark game. It looked crap on consoles, rubbish port. Never played second one so cant comment but the 3rd is done by a different dev so who knows until the game comes out
F.E.A.R 1 was awsome (remember it being the benchmark in graphics and AI when it was 1st released) F.E.A.R 2 I enjoyed (never jumped so badly within 5 minutes of a game lol. But this isn't even made by monolith and these live action trailers are looking awful. It's looking very dire plus going from live action to in game was abit jarring to say the least.
I just hope the actual game is any good, but I'm not holding my breath... Co-op doesn't suit the fright ambiance. You'll just laugh everything off with your mate.
looks like im the only one here who thinks the second fear was way better then the first lol. it was way more scary then the first. infact the first one dont scared me a single time. yeah the ai was worse then the first. but i dont care there are much worse ai in other shooters(COD GAMES). i will buy this because i like the concept. and who care the ports are bad the gameplay was the same. pc fanboys pfff.
