EA released this trailer for the Xbox 360-version of Burnout Revenge. It pretty much sums up most of the new features in this version.

Well, this trailer makes my Windows Media Player crash.......I tried others and they are fine. BTW, the video never starts to play before it crashes.

Gameplay? Mega arcadey. Turning in corners? Not necessary thanks to the invisible rubber rails. Let's see if I can think of something positive... the crashes look nice.

Makyo all that you mentioned is what burnouts about, so if they keep the gameplay the same and boost the graphics, it's a game i will buy

Burnout? A cheap thrill that last just a bit longer sex. I can never spend more than 10 minutes on this game before it gets boring.

Its a waste of money to buy something which just has higher res textures but not much change in physics, i mean next gen would have something like when you run the car into something like surroundings it would damage those surroundings instead of just bouncing off them.

With all of the upcoming titles, why aren't more of them released in this format and quality. The quality of the trailer was superb. If more games were previewed this way, people could get a better idea of what to expect of a game's visuals. Instead most of the really good trailers are released on pay-per-download sites. It really sucks. Take movie trailers for instance. Would we actually pay to watch the trailer of an upcoming movie. No, because they air on television for free to build hype. I'm very thankful for the Xbox Live service with it's hi-def downloadable trailers and free demos. Why should we have to see poor images of a game that the companies expect us pay for. We have to assume that a game will look better on our consoles and HDTV instead of the developers just releasing high quality images to get us excited. I'm tired of doing that. This is the internet. I wish these developers would just wake up.

Some parts of the vid are from an earlier build, i guess...

I'm really looking forward to this game, although I have the "old" Version since September '05, especially to the new online features. Imo the Burnout series is just fun, and not like going go work, like most of the racing simulations.

Again people showing just how clueless they are... This looks far better than the xbox version you expect to watch a trailer then be able to get the full fledged experience from the game without actually seeing what this game looks like running on a 360? Not some video or screenshot. People make definitive judgements based on video and screens i never understand that. How fast are those cars going did anyone get a good look at how great they look? I'm guessing no.

I pray nobody is judging from the screenshots... if some people are then i question people's intelligence.

Also people have been so graphically spoiled its ridiculous people are actually idiotic enough to think the ps2 or xbox versions of this game can look anything close to as good as what the 360 version looks like?

Maybe just maybe if a single person here was able to race with a camera angle such as this http://www.gamespot.com/pages/image_viewer/frame.p...

or this http://www.gamespot.com/pages/image_viewer/frame.p...

I can't believe people judge a game because it doesn't have these fancy camera angles people will try to deny, but its the reason people are mad who in their right mind could look at both those screens and think they'd be seeing such things all the time when you'll primarily be seeing the back of your car unless you are in replay mode.

Almost all of you guys are graphics whores... "oohhh... it doesn't have 4xAA, but it does have 2x, but if it was truly next gen then it would.... blah blah blah" This is next gen guys. This is it. Not some fantasy thing you have in your head as to what it should be... so quit saying a 360 game is not next gen. AAAARRRRGGGHHH.

This game will be fun as hell and that's all there is to it. Full Auto has no features and is even more basic than this. So if you don't like this one, I guarantee you won't like Full Auto.

Well, I think people have gone a little crazy this time. The graphics aren't that jaw dropping, but what were you expecting? It's just a port from EA, you know, things like Fight Night 3 are very rare.

I agree with the person that said Burnout was already "next-gen" on Xbox. It was pretty impressive then. But...

The problem here, and I don't expect anyone to grasp this right off, is that THIS IS A PORT OF THE XBOX/PS2 GAME with extra visual frills turned on. We won't see "next-gen" until "this-gen" is dead. Ports aren't next-gen... which is why this game doesn't look as spiffy as a game that was built from the ground up on an engine designed to take advantage of the new hardware. RENDERWARE IS OLD and I can't wait until Criterion update it to use the 360's hardware more efficiently.

Its not. I mean, Sorry. It looked really Good, like Ninja Gaiden and DOA are still really good looking games. But i excpect a lot more from a next-gen Burnout.
There is no reason for a simple Port like this.

Sure, there's a reason... so EA and Criterion can make more money!

But asside from THAT reason, I'm more interested in the Live capabilities than a graphical update. For those people who patiently waited for an HD version, then this is their reward. This game isn't meant to grab another $50 out of your pocket, it's supposed to offer a more complete experience than what the Xbox version offered... mainly in the form of Live. Besides, if EA is keeping their fingers out of the Live connectivity, that alone is worth $60.

ok, right. but I did not buy the xbox revenge version just because I knew about the 360 version that is coming. Well, I have no problem to choose between a Burnout Revenge 360 that comes 3months after lunch or a ueber-burnout 5 in a year.

and if you guys are not happy with the game (that none of you have seen for real or even played it) I would like to know what you are saying about NFS most wanted... besides all flaws still a very good game.
