Trailer Wii PS2 PSP

Konami has released a new trailer of Silent Hill Memories that is in perfect keeping with the weather here these days. The game will be released in a few days in North America but Europe will have to wait until early 2010 to discover this new version of the first episode of the Silent Hill series.

That looks really good! I can't believe the Silent Hill series seems to be coming back to its roots--and its going on Wii....Strange combo....

But one qualm: why do they only show one kind of bad guy in this trailer? It ends up making it look like there isn't a lot of variety, just running from the zombie-Chimera looking things.

BTW, does it say Playstation at the end just because this game started on the PSX? Or because its coming to Playstation?

Eh... I wish Yamaoka would move on to something new instead of going down with the series

there are good scenes and awful ones. in motion it looks really good, but then the character design and use of monster attacks seem just so ridiculous.

Cool....I'm so glad to hear they're still making games for the PS2! Too bad the dropped the backwards compatibility from the PS3. :(

The psychology test stuff adds replayability to the game, I thought that was a damn innovative idea right there. It's mentioned in the IGN video review http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/14325477/silent-hil...

From GAFer dude:

*Pros*

* great visuals
* intuitive and original gameplay mechanics
* amazing use of Wii controls
* story/characters
* heavy on atmosphere

*Cons*

* lacking the fright of past SH titles
* chase sequences are tedious, not scary
* other scares are kind of lame
* bland art direction

Looks okay for a Wii title I suppose, but it's still horribly fuzzy and last-gen looking. I think I'll wait for Alan Wake instead.
