Our friend DjMizuhara bought Uncharted 2: Among Thieves this morning and uploaded this first 2 short videos of the game showing Nathan Drake in a rather dangerous situation. Update: Added 2 more short videos.

So far the game is quite a bit better than the first one, which I wasn't very crazy about. I'm not as blown away by the game as the critics are, but it's still a very fun experience so far. The production values and attention to details are second to none for a console action game. My only gripe would be that the gunplay and weapon sounds are still feel and sound much like toy guns, leaving not much fun in firing weapons, which really hurts the online part, especially death match.
Minor gripes aside, the game is sure to please a lot of people, especially fans of the first game. I just can't see the MP part of the game having much lasting power. But that could easily just be my odd taste haha.

What I always thought was a nice touch (in the first game) is the constant smart ass comments he and the other characters throw around. I actually really dig that in this kind of hollywood action game...
The game is pretty sweet, even if the gameplay isn't so original( Originality isn't a prerequisite for a good game though, IMO). What set's it up so far is the variety and attention to detail. It's crazy how many different and specific animations and textures there are. The only graphical gripe I have is the Eyes are so damn shiny, it's like the baer asprin commercials, lol. Great animation and voice acting. Oh yeah, the cutscenes so far have all been real time, which is nice to know...

I agree with that as well. The second game does an even better job of throwing in the funny little smartass banter between characters. The first game did an ok job of building the characters, this game is doing a VERY good job of character development. I would say it's on par with your average cheesy hollywood action movie, which by videogame standards, is pretty damn good.
Almost tempted to get a PS3 for this game, but not just yet. MP, to me, won't stand a chance against MW2..so I'd only get it for the SP and that's just not enough to justify buying a console for.
Graphics are simply amazing! Though the lack of weight on the character annoys me. Also, the lack of "oomph" when shooting as someone mentioned earlier's also a a letdown. But overall it's looking like one of the best SP experiences this gen, and the media seems to agree with that (97% average on Metacritic is jus wow!).

have you played other games like LBP or Motorstorm pacific rift? Those two games get overlooked a lot and I think they are far better than the more hyped games like Killzone 2 or MGS4, which I wasn't crazy about. It also has an amazing baseball game (if you like baseball) and Demon Souls if fucking fantastic!!! I think Demon souls is better than Uncharted 2 even, not as good looking or slick, but the gameplay and challenge are as deep as any game this generation imo.
I say go for it, but if you are only interested in U2, then it's not really worth a whole system. But if you like those other types of games, you'll be happy you did it.

Motorstorm, LBP, MGS4 don't do nothing for me. Killzone yes, but with MW2 on the way...no. Demon Souls: Hate the setting and atmosphere, Infamous: Looks very cool, but with Crackdown 2 on the way...no.
Uncharted2 at this point is the only reason for me to consider a PS3, and GT5 perhaps. Not saying none of the aformentioned games aren't appealing, just not enough to buy a second console for.
I'm only on the fifth level so far but Wow! Definitely up there with Metal Gear 4 as my favorite single player experience this gen. Great settings, characters, dialogue and the graphics are polished beyond belief. They even cut back on the screen tearing from the first game. Only weekness is still the lackluster gunplay, but that's about it.
