I loved Uncharted 2, and since Uncharted 1 I was hoping for a desert/middle east type of setting to be similair to the movie The Mummy, seems my wishes is coming true!
I am definitely buying this as soon as it is released, good to know online multiplayer (co-op and comepetitive) is going to be in it again.
I hope the music delivers this time, I want proper orchestral soundtrack, other than Main Theme/Nathan 2.0 the music is decent.
Graphics looks amazing, can't wait to see their tweaked engine and what they can do with the effects, especially the sand.
PS. Really digging Nathan's new clothing style! Though something is off with Drake's jaw.
3D support is great, and kinda expected (seriously, i was half expecting the game to have a "uncharted 3-D" title)
it'll be interesting to see if this betters the second game. i can't imagine it tbh since i pretty much consider uncharted 2 as as close to "perfect" as a game has managed to be. but i'm super psyched to find out.
I hope they add more puzzles this time.
Just so they can make it as fun as possible and as balanaced as possible...and I hope I get in LOL
I am still excited that it is in the middle east with the desert, sand...etc. I love the movie The Mummy alot!
ND prove me wrong, but i can't phantom a gameplay scenario where desert can be a better idea than the last locations they planned. I bet there is a way more interesting terrain to go than just what they are teasing.

BTW, not to be a dick, but its fathom, not phantom (didn't want someone to have to correct you in person).
Some highlights of the story:
-"Nathan Drake's journey will put you through new challenges and take you to stunning locations around the world, from a derelict chateau in France, to the merciless Arabian Dessert."
-The story focuses on the hero’s relationship with his mentor and father figure, fan fave Victor “Sully” Sullivan, and has him searching for a legendary lost city that will ultimately take him to the Arabian Peninsula and the vast wasteland of the Rub’ al Khali Desert, also known as the Empty Quarter. (looks like the desert will be one of, if not the last area in the game)
- "The inspiration for the story, says Hennig, came from Naughty Dog’s desire to take on the challenge of conceiving and building out gameplay scenarios within a desert locale "challenge,” because organic elements like water, fire and sand are technically difficult to credibly render with animation. Says Hennig: “When we first came up with the idea of sand, you see everyone’s eyes light up here and go, ‘Yeah, that’s going to be really hard — let’s do it!’” Adds Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells: “We’re a bunch of nerds. We just look forsomething that will be a technical, artistic challenge, and allowed us to push into an area of the world and history we’ve never tapped into before.”
-The execs at Naughty Dog walked us through one of the game’s levels, and while we can’t tell you anything about the locale (it actually wasn’t the desert), we can tell you that it was quintessential Uncharted, marked by dynamic camera work and gameplay that requires you to jump and climb through treacherous spaces that are in an almost constant state of change — or in this case, catastrophic collapse. Innovations? Several, including enhanced backward climbing and the ability to fight multiple baddies at once. Finally, Wells stressed that much time and effort is being lavished upon expanding Uncharted’s online multiplayer and co-op capabilities, too; expect more details to come in the coming months.
Sounds promising!

And you'd be a fool to expect them not to change up the environments. U2 was hardly one stale similar level after another.
They have a lot to learn on about platforming, and not making it a boring guided experience (i.e. a joke). Combat could be more inspired, or improved by not having bullet sponge enemies, no more supernatural enemies, smarter and more dynamic AI, less Gears of War blocks combat level design.
Or just have the ability for platforming in any of the combat scenarios, which they showed very little off in 2, like in the city or on those towers later.
last time i was this excited for a game was halo 2....please Naughty dog dont let this be a halo 2 :(

As for his jaw, yeah wtf? are they trying to make him more appealing to americans? or just trying to make him look older? but, and it pains me to say this... he kinda starting to look like sam fishers (the sam fisher on his last adventure, not the 4 diffrent sam fishers before that..)
Uncharted 2 would be a perfect game if
A: More puzzles, and lightly more demanding ones
B: slight less shooting
C: less chloe and more sully
D: actually listen to the fan base and fix your MP because the weapons are fucked your spawn points are shot to shit your matchmaking is a mess (seriously if someone drops out IS IT THAT FUCKING HARD TO LET SOMEONE NEW JOIN!) and the lag is fucking horrific, you give the host to the guy with the wankest bandwidth, give us servers)
E: Had some books to go along with the games... seriously, i love this world, i want more of it, and 1 game every few years is not enough (there is a book next year btw...1)
