Video Xbox 360

Trials HD is one of the (much too) rare games I was actually anticipating, so it was with great joy that I gave it a try a few hours ago, with this short video as a result. A must buy for me!

This might just be the second XBLA game I ever buy. But I have to say, the physics looked very forgiving in that video, I guess only playing the demo (it's out!?) will tell me.

I only played briefly it but I think it's all new content. Plus mini games and track editor.

Lots of info here: http://www.redlynxgame.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2...

Play it, they are not so forgiving, especially with the more powerful bikes. Its definately gonna be the 2nd XBLA game that i buy, i love it!!

First game to have ragdoll physics that aren't just limp too, the limbs move and push against the surfaces. Great physics overall. It's also very hard, though it's intense difficulty is met with greater intense enjoyment, hehe.

The only XBLA games I've ever bought were Ikaruga and Streets of Rage 2, but this may just add itself to my list. Looks great!

Well I played it, and I still can't tell if I should buy it. Some of the physics are lacking to be honest, there is a lack in responsiveness. I still can't believe you can't pull off a wheelie on a straight line, you have to break, push your body forward, and then quickly backup and good luck if you do it. The skiing skill game is also another area where there is no responsiveness. Fly with the left stick? It's hard to tell your input is doing anything at all to maintain the guy in the air for longer.

Aside from that though, it looks to be a really good game. It was fun, specially the medium difficulty track. I would love to see some user-made tracks to see what people can come up with. The editor is very powerful it seems. Graphics are really good too. Content seems to be at the right level, although more tracks would have been better (there is not that many if the demo was showing them all--and I'm not talking about the 3 demo tracks only).

Last thing I would criticize it's the sound. It's not a big deal, but the bike does not change sounds at all on air vs on ground. It's just the same noise no matter what, changing gears in mid-air, etc, just a bit awkward, not a huge deal again, but it's worth pointing out.

Lebato, the 250cc bike does wheelies by just accelerating.

Technically lebato, real physics WOULD give you less responsiveness than your average game because you have to counteract the previous movement.

I don't want real physics, this game is not about that, I want control. By the way, I just did a track and it's really easy to mess up the game building some tracks. I did one with a huge drop and then a ramp. I'm in the air for a good few seconds after the ramp and the bike starts to behave very VERY strange. It just starts going back or forward, like the physics don't know what to do.

It's a good game, but not without its flaws in the core gameplay.

Well if the controls are anything like trials 2 then this game sucks! Never understood why anyone would want to play this game. There are so many similar and yet musch better games out there for free in the internet!
Cheers
