Vanquish homemade videos

Vanquish homemade videos

Until we can get our own copy of Vanquish and maybe try to review the game properly - if we have a bit of spare time -, here is a gameplay video of the PS3 version for starters. Thanks to DJmizuhara, we are on time for release and you can have a sneak peak at Level 2 and 3. More videos to come, provided you ask nicely.
Update 3: Third video back online.

They should call it Blurfest Rendring and not deferred rendering. makes me want to buy a new pair of glasses with the image being so out of focus.

Really pissed off that the Europe wide release date of Oct 22 seems to mean nothing here in Denmark, went to the store to get this and I am told the 26th!!?!?!?

Cool game with 0 replayability. Started my second playthrough just to see that even my weapon's upgrades didnt stay with me. Rent only imo.

There seems a lot of core fighting? what's the core/boss ratio.I'm much more into fighting with just troops mainly so i'd be pleased if this was the emphasis

Why don't you open your own website, upload your own videos and blow us away? How stupid is your comment seriously? How old are you?

it's fairly easy just evade and pull the trigger button
vanquish isn't meant for playing like a normal cover shooter
Hahahahahahaha thats RQOTM, seriously. Retard quote of the month in case You didnt get it. How the hell can You tell whats the proper way of playing a game ? Did You even play Vanquish ? I did and did it wrong because i didnt use that much slomo.

Well...

Given that even considering posting that someone who took some of their time to offer you some gameplay footage actually sucks because they don't play the way you think the game is meant to be played (breathe) is the exact opposite of being mature. I'll let you imagine what it is to actually post the message.

Since when did "you suck" become some kind of relevant argument? I mean outside of primary school that is...

So yes, I indeed disagree with such useless comments. You're welcome to give your opinion on the game, say you love it or even hate it. But please, spare us the easy mocking tone, just because DJmizuhara just did not happen to use slow motion (which you do not have to when you play correctly btw). One, he did not have much time to play the game to be able to send us some footage on time for the game's release. Two, what's even the point of saying he sucks? It's not like he/we said "the game is crap as proven in the videos".

it's an important feature in the game(it differs the game from other crap)
there are actually 4 ways to trigger it
you can see it in manual or tutorial
and you only use it in one way----almost getting killed
sure you can say you can play however you wanna play
but for a gaming site like this
shouldn't showcase a game and introduce none of the features
it's like playing gow and don't use the cover mechanic

whatever it's not my site
i'll just end it up here

There is no set way to play this game, thats the beauty of it. You can play it the way you want too, it doesn't force you to play it the way they want you to play it. Sorry I'm not a flare type player...but it's how I like to play the game. I've just finished it and it's an incredible race from start to finish, it doesn't give the player a rest, it's like a speeding train with no brakes.

at least eurogamer do agree with me lol
"You can approach this game like a Gears of War clone and play it to complete it, and you can have a reasonably fun "7/10" experience doing so, but this is clearly not the kind of game that Platinum set out to make."

Yep, i got a good 10hrs on hard. People should stop with this shit about 4hrs game. All cutscenes didn't count and times when you die also!

I used a cover only to smoke a cigarette for break btw. Hiding like a pussy didn't work at all on highter difficulties. That is why i didn't get all these Gears comparisons. It's totally different game!

because it's a shooter and as a cover shooter its a lesser game people wanted it to best Gears but it didn't. some can't deal with it.

so people comparing it with gears. i like this game way more than gears. its faster, the cover system works better, you got more badass wepons and the action is way more intense. oh and the ai is more dangerous. even the boss battles..... oh right gears got no real bosses so dont need to compare that :) anyway good vids MIZU and please GAMERSYDE make a REVIEW!

Gears of War is the most boring shooter I've ever played, so I welcome this fast-paced shooter just like Kane and Lynch 2, that's more about flanking than aiming. Just will buy it when £20.

The more i read and see of this game, the more i know it's likely to impress me.I like games that i can get to know on a personal level and that means that i'm able to play the absolute hell out of them and not get bored

Some gamers don't really go all that deep with their game time prefering to treat the experience as a film these days. The usual one playthrough and onto the next game is mostly what happens. And while that's great i guess, i do think it misses the point of what games are all about. The sad thing is some devs seem focused now on making games more like that of how films play out, and that's surely not a good thing. In some cases you may as well watch a film such is the lack interaction you clearly wont get from only casually skimping through

Unfortunately scoring is also likely to be wasted on 90% of those that play Vanquish.Gamers that don't understand games even a little seems quite common and doesn't exactly make you proud.I'm talking more generally here though and not regards to this video playthrough or the player

I agree completely and will certainly be replaying many times using the numerous available strategies/ techniques to get a better score. I love the fact that it is unashamedly a completely arcade style, bullet hell high score game but sadly I concur this is going to fly over the heads of many gamers.

I play like that also,I want to master the game and that takes time and to know everything the game has to offer.

Great comment.
