Page 1 2 >>Cancelled my pre-order. The game is too short to pay full price. I'll wait till some discount.
WTF?
Dude, 4-6 hours with zero multiplayer... NOT worth 60 bucks, IMO...
WTF?
Imagine if we said that in the NES Mario Bros era :P
I'm wasn't entirely sold tbh with the demo of Vanquish even though i played it some 10 times but other videos do show it in a different light.I also don't have a problem with some games if they're not incredibly long in length providing the core gameplay is fun over and over- and i think it probably will be
I'll buy this at some point but i do think those wanting a story experience, those of you should probably choose something else.Pure gameplay is where i'd rather be given the choice though and that's something i think is changing regards to how people choose their games
That was, what, 26 years ago?
If this is anyhing like Bayonetta then expect a lot of game to be had from replaying these levels. You can play the Bayonetta demo over and over because it's so sandbox, and providing there are layers in Vanquish, it's probably the same

so no go??? IRAIPTOIR had me digging this from all the previous comments.... Sad, I gotta switch my pre-order for Fallout. I already paid for Vanquish in FULL!!!
I will not buy because I don't have the means right now, thats why I agreed that t some point meaning as soon as I have the means to buy it.
But is sure as hell as day one for everybody that likes pure gameplay bliss and can buy it.
Who said no replay value? I want to revisit every level already. @_@
Really happy i didn't cancel my pre-order when i hear these false early impressions from few morons. :D
GOTY contender in my book, up there with Super Mario Galaxy 2 and RDR.
Haha at the review quote from Destructoid, when they rated it a 5/10.
This game has innovation in spades in an industry where recycling is becoming more and more common and it deserves full credit for that as well. TO me it feels like an old school bullet hell shooter (my favourite genre) translated perfectly into 3D so there can be no higher praise or replayability.
This game is just pure fun, and well worth 60 bucks.
The gametrailers.com review is spot on : http://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-hd-vanqui...
just get it when its down in price..if bayonetta's anything to go by that shouldnt take long.
If it gets down in price I will buy 2 or 3 copies :)
All this 5-6hr campaign stuff.. it's not set as a rule. Sure it may of been nice to have more gaming hours, but atleast you've the competitive nature of leaderboards to add reply value - more than the reported 5hr Uncharted campaign offered (cant remember many people boycotting that).
Somebody completed Demon souls in under an hour.. doesnt mean you're going to get it and only get an hours worth out of the campaign does it? or does it?
what are you talking about? you dont even like the game...do you?
I think its the best third person shooter ever.
If that implies I don't like it then I dont know :P
at the 4 hours it takes to complete, this seems like the ultimate rental. you could complete it in a day and then move onto the next rental on the list. it's perfect for it.
In a day you don't master shit.
If you only want to see it and don't play and master it as it is suposed to be played and as what Mikami intended for you to play it sure.
In a day you don't master shit.
who needs to "master" anything when you can complete it in 4 hours. it's a shooter, not brain surgery.
