Xbox 360 PS3

It looks like the waiting period is finally over and publishers are starting to move on to showing a bit more of the big 2008 releases. And Battlefield: Bad Company certainly is one of them. I sure would love to get more videos like this one, informative and funny. It sure looks like the developers had fun :)

Hahaha I actually liked this developer commentary video... I rarely do. If the envyronments are really as destructible as they are being said to be, this could be a top priority game on my list.

It sounds like the engine is really gonna be something new and very advanced, but in the end it's all about the way they use their engine (or to wich extend it will be useable on the PS3/360). I'm curious about how it will turn out in the end...

The 'HDR sound' is cool and it's something more games should have. As a side note, X-Fi sound cards can basically do this in hardware. It really helps for FPS games so you can hear someone's footsteps without having your ears blown out when there's an explosion nearby.

I wonder how much money they are putting into their promotional campaign. It's funny they have a new engine but I still noticed a couple screen tears. Game looked good though.

God damn swedes, horrible pronunciation. The engine looks terrific though. Destructible environments, sandbox gameplay...sounds sweet. I hope it lives up to it. A bit booring with yet another shooter though, it would be cool to see an engine like this with the same level of interaction with the environment in other genres.

i know, it makes alot of sense if you knew it was a 'battlefield' game

i didnt, i just thought part of the name was battlefield!!, it seems SO differant to the other battlefield games that the coin didnt drop and i just didnt guess it was part of the battlefield seris

i think its the characters and the kind of 'humour' that makes it seem a bit like army of two...yanno the way, especially from the case, u tell that its not quite taking itself too seriously, not for a war game anyway.

cant belive this is the next battlefield game WTF!!!! :p i didnt know!!! :P

aaah, the swedish folks... only one in ten can speak english in a respectable way. But who cares when we look good :)

Just the fact that the loud sounds sound loud and the quiet sounds sound as loud as the loud sounds got me all worked up :P

Yep, Battlefield 2... but with HDR... fully dynamic shadows... realtime day change... advanced foliage system... destructible foliage and buildings... but yeah, just like BF2 :P BF2, in many ways, is still a pretty game and well done. But the technology gap between the two is quite distinct.

Damn excellent work from DICE, again. I'm amazed that EA hasnt raped their creativity and outsourced all their work to bangladesh.

HDR audio is an excellent idea, and I'm assuming theyre bringing back the best feature of BF Vietnam which was vehicle radios and groovy music.

This might still turn out to be a next-gen console Battlefield but knowing EA, I'm not holding by breath. DICE is perhaps my #1 developer of all time, and EA is my lowest ranking publisher of all time.

Awesome video. But i don't understand the logic at the beginning, because Karl Magnus Troedsson has already spoken english before the language was switched from swedish to english? Did i miss something?
This will be an awesome game, i love Battlefield.

wait wait wait, you can have this "oh no another war game rolleyes" thing with army of two or mercenaries (like i do!), but not with battlefield, cmon!
is like saying, oh no not another blond top model rolleyes, when it's Claudia Schiffer you are talking about! ;)

It's really simple you know, if you don't like a game you don't have to buy it and you certainly do not need to post in threads about it.
