Xbox 360

Namco Bandai released this promotional video of Gundam: Operation Troy, unfortunately giving us a confirmation that the framerate is still as bad as during the Tokyo Games Show. A shame, really.

A bit wonky framerate yes but dear lord this game is looking real good, just think of the awesomeness of the battles that can be had on xbox live :D
A must have title, I just hope they fix the framerate.

Umm excuse me, but why in the world do the robots have ragdoll physics? Man, that's pretty bad if that makes it to the final game.

looks pretty amazing in places, and not so great in others. I wouldn't worry about the framerate problems until very close to the release date, though.

Why, what's wrong with having ragdoll physics, aren't they suppose to have the same flexibility as a human?

Yeah I think the ragdoll on the mobile suits looked good enough, atleast it looks alot more alive then the Ps3 game where they just explode or use the same animation of falling down over and over.

Ragdoll is great for a game with huge robots, you get to see them fall in slow motion and crush stuff underneath. Only thing they could add is maybe have one leg or arm more rigid so it tends to fall to one side more than completely limp. So it sort of fails unexpectedly and falls in a clumbersome way.

Because would the hydraulics of a robot "relax" instantly like human muscles when they go lights out. If yes, ok then.

Hi, i'm new to this board. Concerning robots and ragdolls. Transformers (PS2) had some hilarious ragbots. Looked like someone hit you with a numb-stick. Other noteworthy games are Bouncer (PS2) and Tony Hawk project8 (atleast in the live demo, almost a game in itself trying to get the funniest falls).

To Gundam fans this game is awesome for the simple fact that the developers actually seem to give a crap in that they actually TRIED something different. All of the past Gundam games, PS3 included, have essentially been rehashed versions of the previous game. All most all of the PS2 games are direct rehashes (copies) of "Federation vs Zeon" which came out in arcades and on Dreamcast and was later ported to PS2.

Im glad that this game is not the same as the PS3 version. The PSP game "Battle Royale" just LOOKS more fun to play than that one (I have Gundam Battle Royale by the way).

As you guys say, it's looking way better than before, in those older videos. Hope it keeps improving! Cuz if it does, the game could really have some heavy potential =)

Go watch any Gundam (0079 the best one) and you will know why ragdoll is stupid for this type of game. Atleast in the Ps3 version they get cut\blown up in real time.
