Doesn't make me that happy actually.. a 360 version. Mainly because this looks bad imo.

I hope they upgrade it a little for the 360. Should be more RAM available for texturing if most developers are to be believed.

Just as DOA was starting to establish itself as a serious fighter, 5 has to go up against Virtua fucking Fighter. Oh well, gamers are the winners. :)

In addition, I'm actually quite baffled by this. It's awesome news for sure, but it has to be one of the biggest surprises to me in gaming in years.

DOA is much better, and Kage sucks to be the ninja because Ryu can most definitely kick his ass.
VF might have smooth movements and such but visually and voice and characters, DOA anyday. The only next fighting game I want is DOa5 haha, AFTER Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out of course.

I somewhat expected this, seems that more games will lose their exclusivity along the way, next generation is too expensive to develop for so why make it exclusive on one console ?

Good news though.

Not meaning to start a flame war here but Virtua Fighter is THE fighting standard arcade wise. The timing /dept / combos makes other fighting game mere buttons mashing fest. I play DOA as a substitute waiting for a better sport, it'sgood fun but nothing close to VF, as for Tekken, Namco should focus on Katamari sequence instead of tigers with boxing gloves...

XBL+VF5=eternal joy and infinite hapiness

Kikizo just posted this:
Kikizo can reveal that early code is running on 360 right now and that 360 owners will, apparently, benefit from the additions and refinements that will be made to the 'Version C' arcade revision, while the PS3 version will be based around the imminent Version B.

Why is it that Sony keeps touting BluRay because it can hold more textures and higher res textures than the 360's DVD format, but it can't display the bigger/more textures due to memory limitations of the PS3 vs. the 360? I know the OS on the PS3 has a much larger footprint on system memory on PS3 than the 360's does.

It seems the PS3's hands are tied with the graphics RAM only being able to handle so much and the BluRay storage benefits are lost.

GREAT NEWS by the way. One less checkmark in the PS3 column.

I don't think it'll suit the 360's D-Pad though. I hate playing fighters with analog sticks too. Not that I would get VF5, Tekken is more for me.

Hmm, well I certainly hope they have some kind of update thingy planned for both online services. In this day and age we shouldn't have to wait around until they have content enough to release the tweaked versions without people going apeshit over Sega "milking the series".
