Sega released these great images from Virtua Tennis 3, showing some really impressive player models. I don't have any idea why they have the player descriptions ("fast runner") in the HUD during gameplay though.

Shame they didn't have some bump mapping on the courts.
It's lookig pretty good though, do they plan to have this over live ?
And jesus I'm looking forward to it. :)
They were in the resolution 1360x768, really really strange (which = 1280x722). I haven't seen that before, they are often 15(xx)x(xxx), or 1920x1080.
Xen-like revelations, only at XY!
These screens look like the console version since you don't see the [Credits] at the bottom of the screen.
Also the thing under the players names seems to be something like, the player's special skill?
I recon they need some kinda particle modelling for all the dust on the surface of the clay courts.
Btw, anyone know why they have the players listed as '1P' and '2P.' seems more logical to have them as 'P1' and 'P2' as an abbreviation of 'Player 1' and 'Player 2.' Just strikes me as being odd.
And the game is looking great! It has a sort of hand-textured feel to it instead of strict photo texturing. It's overall a good mixture of realism and art, and the quality is excellent in both art and tech. Looks to be actual framebuffer grabs aswell, with crisp pixels and modest AA (aka the perfect mixture). Go SEGA!

the hand looks wonky here. and Federrer looks like a Zombie! "NO I don't want to be in this game, i loved Top Spin franchise!"
Quite impressed by the crowd though.
