Xbox 360 PS3

Sega continues with the big batch of images, with this time Virtua Tennis 3 and these 36 screenshots of the game. No mention of what platform these shots were taken from, but it sure makes me want to play the game.

I like the look. Only thing that bothers me is the shadow of the ball. It isn't correct when you compare it with the other shadows.

Looks so awesome, the only nitpicky thing I would mention would be the joints to their limbs
But Virtua Tennis has always been the best tennis series hands down, much more fun than any other competitor's game

Also about the shadow of the ball, I am pretty sure they put it straight under so you can see better where the ball is on the court

Yeah, they probably did, but it just looks silly, when you look at the screens where they just hit the ball.

Nice screens!
What I also don't like are the arcade like effects when you hit the ball. Also the yellow line folowing the ball is not very realistic.
I hope you can turn the hud off. Like FN3, a tennis game would be perfectly playable without a hud.

Some shots are 1080p and in the past shots with self shadowing were labeled PS3/Arcade, so my guess is these are arcade/PS3 shots.

Hopefully 360 version will look the same eventually. It's all doable looking at other sport games running on 360.

Does anyone know if the ball's physics is different depending on the the type fo court you're in (i.e Clay or hard or grass ....). it would be nice if it is

Arcade shots would be 1360xsomething, not 1080p or 720p. Maybe it's a mix of both versions, or it's only the PS3 one.

in my opinion the shadow of the ball doesn't really matter

This game looks fun. Seems to have improved from what I remember seeing awhile back.

Oh and about the crowd, Im pretty sure it is 3d. But they are very low res. As you can see here they dont really look like cardboard, just low res if you see them close enough.

doesnt bother me *that* much tho.

Graphics look pretty good and it seems to capture the right atmosphere , but some gamplay vids I've seen have kinda put me of this game.

The animations aren't all that bad, but it's still a bit too "quirky".
Also, I can't stand that "splash" that appears when you hit a ball
Very anoying, is that a feature that can be turned off?

also, 360 or ps3, it doesn't matter, since they will look identical

Holy crap this game looks good. With a little tweaking it could be the second FNR3 in sports games.

Jato this game is arcadeish.

like for example you only play for sets. In real life, you get sets, a game and then the match but in VT you only get for example two sets and then the match.
That annoys me a lot.

But the game-play is always 10/10 in this game so it amkes me over-look all those things.

Can we get confirmation that these screens were taken from the PS3 version?

That way everyone can rush in and say how much the graphics suck...

Well, you know that's how it is with these forums. LOL! ^__^
