Trailer PC PS4 Xbox One

NeocoreGames, the studio behind The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, has announced Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr, an action-RPG produced with Games Workshop for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a 2016 release window. A few more details and a teaser after the jump.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr Announced

Budapest, Hungary – July 16, 2015 – Veteran video game developer, NeocoreGames (King Arthur, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing) is proud to announce a new Action-RPG, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, produced in close collaboration with Games Workshop, developers and publishers of the well-known Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game and universe.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is an Action-RPG that not only evokes the dystopian world of the dark and violent 41st millennium, but also becomes the next milestone in the evolution of Action-RPGs.

Building on the experience gained from The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Action-RPG trilogy, NeocoreGames aims to expand the boundaries of the genre itself by taking the in-game mechanics and visual solutions to a brand new level and also by opening up a persistent sandboxed Action-RPG.

The single player campaign pitches players into a grim and secret war among the stars as the agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition. After the end of the campaign the story continues in a colossal sandboxed game set in the same secluded sector of this vast universe. This persistent setting grants years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the Action-RPG gameplay.

Coming to PC, Mac, Xbox One and Playstation 4 in 2016, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr will be a monumental, brutal and grim experience, undeniably true to the spirit of the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

"There's a reason why we chose the world of Warhammer 40,000: it's intense, brutal, visceral – a perfect material for an Action RPG. Working with Games Workshop, we're doing our best to bring a high quality game to the community. We're huge fans as well, so we care deeply about this game."

Zoltán 'Pozs' Pozsonyi, Producer, NeocoreGames

"A Warhammer 40,000 action RPG has been notably absent from our portfolio of video game licenses so far and its great to finally be able to talk publicly about this wonderful game that the guys at Neocore have been working so hard on for some time now. Their previous action RPG's are very impressive and we feel privileged to be partnering with them on this game."

Jon Gillard, Head of Licensing, Games Workshop

Is this suppose to be like Diablo type of game since they mentioned their experience with Van Helsing?

I need real gameplay footage before i can say anything, but Warhammer world is very interesting for sure, i enjoyed Space Marines even though the art in that game looks bland and boring majority of the game.

Diablo-like Warhammer game could be cool. I'd welcome it.
Space Marine looked exactly as it should have, it portrayed the world of Warhammer quite well. It wasn't the game's fault the world's designs were such as they are.

Since it's coming out for PS4 and XB1, I doubt it'll be like Diablo, but who knows. This trailer doesn't show dick.
