I kept thinking it was a Dragon Age rip off without the amazing fight scene CG... I didnt know it was LOTR! LOL! I just read the War in North part. Someone should have labeled it better. The CG didnt impress me and there was no gameplay which doesnt impress any real gamer.
Yeah the hit detection for the most part is very good.
For me, the main thing melee combat simply has to be is visceral. With all the severing of limbs and gore - which I wouldn't say is over the top mind you - the combat in this game seems to be incredibly visceral.
Definitely going to be one of the sleeper hits of the year. I certainly won't be missing out on it.

Im not saying as a bad thing I do like DAO can't say the same about DA2 though, and this one seems to have decent combat, I see nothing wrong here just stating some obvious stuff.
