After quite a long delay, Ubisoft finally annouced that Watch_Dogs would be released on May 27 on basically every platform except WiiU who would get the game a tad later. And as a bonus, they even sent us a new story trailer!
After that delay i had expected a big improvement in graphics. Perhaps something closer to the E3 2012 footage...but nah. Story seems interesting and i definitely am curious how it all plays out, but i really hate the graphical downgrade.

I knew graphical downgrade was inevitable, regardless of platform and that put me off but after seeing trailer, i just really want to play it. Have pre-ordered at £48.85 but hoping price drops closer to release because i still think any "next-gen" game retailing around the £50 mark is still a rip off.

You mean compared to E3 2012 or last year? Last year it already didn't look amazingly impressive anymore. I actually had expected a big improvement on this, but i guess not. I see what you mean though. This trailer made me curious about the gameplay too.

2012 trailer had me with the wow factor!! I actually believed next-gen was going to deliver visuals seen in that trailer with ease. Youre right, last year the visuals just became meh, and the hype dropped, at least for me, thats when i realised downgrades were inevitable, take a look at Forza 5 for a good example of that :( Pricing is the issue for me, i just dont think any next gen title can justify the increased RRP at the moment, but as always i will pre-order and wait for the previews/reviews before parting with any cash.
I was never that impressed as many were with how this game looked, even back with it's initial reveal. It always had the hallmarks of a current (back then) gen game with some fancy elements running off of a DX11 PC. I suppose getting whatever old build to run those effects effectively enough was putting too much strain on the engine they are using, so they cut them back a bit. I wouldn't say it's drastically worse looking, but it's definitely noticeable, and that's a tad disappointing. It's just further proof that these cross gen games are struggling to make the jump regardless of the platform. The sooner devs start building from the ground up, the better it'll be. So far, you could probably count on one hand the amount of games that really hint at what next gen is supposed to be.

I agree, that why I get multiplats for my PC(which run better) and the consoles for the exclusives.
The PC version of Watch Dogs would be the best and cheapest, especially on a steam sale. :)
Pre-ordered the PC dedsec edition from Amazon in November, may sell the game itself, keep the special edition stuff and buy the PS4 version if it proves they made some particular effort to make the PS4 version special (such as DS4 integration etc).
Even the world doesn't seems interesting, from what they have shown so far.
Tell me about it. It seemed alive and lived in before. Even down to trash blowing about on the street, now it looks empty and boring. They've stripped it down so much since the reveal it's barely the game it was back then. But you gotta give ubisoft credit, no one has absolutely destroyed such unanimous praise and hype quite like they have with watchdogs. To think, there was a point where this was THE next gen experience. Fuck that..hahaha.

where? i saw on the games fb page its 360 footage
The trailer was first leaked on 360. The trailer has been confirmed to have been edited used PS4 footage according to a response from playstation denmark on twitter. He asked if it was PS4 or PS3 footage. The footage you can watch is also from the PS4 version. Everything regarding this game has been shown on PS4 bar the very first reveal.

And even with the delay they still couldn't get the bone version up to 1080p. Ubisoft should be ashamed tbh.
