Here is a new trailer of Watch_Dogs showing the diversity of Chicago, Aiden Pearce's playground. The game will hit store shelves on May 27th. French version only for now, we'll add the english one once we grab it. Update: English version added.
I believe none of that flawless AI behaviour and animation they've shown here, it's doctored shit anyway. I believe it will be a very good game though. Alas the scenery looks very plastic in some spots.
I'm sorry but the graphics are not on par with the first footage, no matter what they claim.
Nonetheless, it is still a good looking game and interesting perspective. I'm still not convinced about the endless possibilities, each character having an own story, etc. But bring it on.. :)
They've claimed that the PC version is on the same level as the E3 2012 build. And that everything we've seen since that is from next gen. They said we would see more PC footage before the game releases. I'm presuming they'll be specific about it whenever that happens.

What do you expect. It's was originally a PC game. Every single footage we've been seeing of this since the game was announced was PC footage. even the PS4 E3 2013 footage was PC gameplay. http://www.dsogaming.com/news/watch-dogs-was-runni...
what we're now seeing is the conversion of PC to consoles, and to be honest it doesn't look that bad. not as good as what high-end GPUs will get you but still not that bad.
It still looks good, no doubt, but the issue is that I believe a lot of people were led to believe that the E3 2012 footage was representative of what would be deliverable on next gen. And while the next gen version of the game is still a fine looking game, It's missing many of the small details that really helped bring that first demo to life and wow people. Look at it this way, you win a contest and are promised a ferrari 458. When it comes time for delivery you're given a porsche boxster or cayman. While outstanding vehicles in their own right, the porsche just doesn't compare to the ferrari. That's the issue here. Promises were made that aren't being delivered upon.
giving this a miss, this game looks vile to say its on ps4, god knows why people say it still looks good. im sorry there is no excuse this gen to have a game that has good gameplay but bad graphics.
it needs to have both this new gen, and i wont settle for anything less.
if we are not getting what was shown at the reveal which we are not then i wont be buying this.
it even looks crap compared to that ps4 gameplay footage from nov last year lol
the game looks bland as hell, basic bland textures, the character models do not look great, the car models have been ported from the ps3/360 version and nothing else added to make them better by the looks of it
the smoke and steam effects look total rubbish, the water puddle effects on the roads now look crap and nowhere near as good as infamous second sons
the rain looks total rubbish, that was one of the most impressive things about the reveal lol not its just crappy looking white streaks across the screen

i dont care if its "downgraded", i still see potential in this game. if you just care about the graphics then watch tech demos not games....
so if the story is good and the city is really that live as they say then it will be a good game
It doesn't matter if you care or not, downgraded is downgraded. People are upset because they basically lied to us by showing amazing trailers (more than one). I still think the game looks good enough, not next-gen stuff but good enough. The gameplay better be GREAT.

yep and alot of these people denying a downgrade and that the game still looks good are also the ones who say graphics are not that important..yet they have a new console or they upgrade their graphics cards lol
Visually no better than GTA V, but it's a game targeted at last gen systems, so that's hardly surprising.
I worry it will just be a GTA clone to play too, just with an added gimmick to allow you to switch off lights and trigger other random little events. Also too bad it's set in another dull American city. There's a whole world out there, but as usual, if it's modern day, it must be an American city with giant cube buildings and as much architectural interest as a multi story car park.
Graphics aside this is the first time since that e3 reveal that I've actually been interested. I was never quite sure why people built this game up with so little to go on but it looks fun. My concern as with every game these days is they play up all these game mechanics that your imagination runs wild with but in the end they're always the most simplistic version of the idea. Like planning heist in GTAV. ...oh and speaking of GTA I love how everyone has ripped off R*'s narration approach to the trailers.
I'm still interested in checking it out, I just hope the PC version holds up like Ubi is claiming it does. But I understand that it's a game who's foundation is FIRMLY in the last gen. So while I understand peoples being upset I am not at all surprised about the visual downgrade for next gen. At the end of the day however, some of the gameplay elements look interesting enough to keep me interested.

The weirdest thing is that it doesn't even look the same aesthetically. I mean, at the core, sure. But it looks more like high res GTA V than the original stuff looked like. Part of that may be the fucked up black levels but the characters reminded me more of GTA V than the earlier stuff they showed of characters.

whatever lighting system they went with after the downgrade looks awful.

Looks surprisingly smooth too.
Looking forward to it.
