GSY Preview PC PS4 Xbox One

Last week, we were invited at Ubisoft's to play three hours of Far Cry: Primal and we were able to capture some footage using their own equipment. As you can imagine, the quality isn't as good as ours and compression is clearly visible, but still, you'll be able to see the game in action. Also worth mentioning is that we had to play with French subtitles, which means you won't be able to understand what's going on (the audio language having been totally invented). On the bright side, it means you don't risk getting spoiled. Although we were not particularly enthusiastic to discover this new episode, we have been pleasantly surprised by its atmosphere. It may not be more difficult than the previous games in the franchise, but there is a sense of vulnerability we didn't get with the heavily armed "superheroes" we used to play. We'll see if the game doesn't lose any of its initial appeal too soon when we can play the final build in a few weeks time.

I am just bored of the Far Cry 3 & 4 style, and this doesn't look meaningfully different. Even the UI looks the same.

It's funny.. it's more different than Far Cry 4 was compared to Far Cry 3.. and yet I'm inclined to agree.

Sweet conceptually, but then again Farcry suffers from the same boring yearly bullshit that Assassin's creed does at this point. Maybe something i'll check out for next big steam sale or something :P

I feel like now whenever Ubisoft starts making money from a franchise, they try milk it as much as possible until it becomes stale. Wait a couple more years at least.

What the heck happened to the graphics? Did they switch engine?
Far Cry 4 looked fantastic and still does.

I find it rather ironic that the upgraded version of their older engine used for Far Cry series looks better than their new engine for X1/PS4...
