While we couldn't make it to the game's presentation at Gamescom, Mosaic gave us a second chance in the form of a short preview demo aimed at giving us a sense of what the developers are trying to do with this new story-driven experience. Even though we haven't seen enough to truly tell you what to expect, we wanted to share some gameplay footage from the demo build and give you our thoughts about it.
Impressions
Some will call Mosaic another walking simulator and they probably wouldn't be wrong based on what we saw, but it seems to be a game that has some interesting story to tell. Better yet, it does so in such a stylized way which makes us very curious to see more. Visually, the game reminds us a bit of State of Mind (which we still recommend by the way), but it has its own unique atmosphere and we love what the developers have done to stage the different sequences we've seen. In an overly connected world, social isolation may sound like a paradox, but that's what the main character experiences as a human being. He will then be torn apart between the need to maintain that connection with the virtual world, his phone offering different ways to pass the time, and the desire to see the world as it truly is. The little time we've spent on the demo was so immersive we definitely want to see the full game when it becomes available as it might be something quite special.

looks neat. has an Inside influence but still stands on its own.
