I like how they talk about the game as if it's a completely new concept, "you can melee other cars out of the way" wow awesome, game doesn't remind me of Driver at all........

Criterion should help them to make the action more burnout-like^^ This looks like it's a bit too much over the top... But it seems to be quite nice, let's wait and see^^

That was awesome, only wished GTA had that sort of cool driving (not so over the top) ahh you know what I mean. Involvement and intensity.

Looks fun. Maybe something I pick up if the demo is good. But not something I'm dying to play. A fun addition to anyones collection though surely. A two player splitscreen mode would be fun.. like a cops and robbers mode, wonder if it has that

"A living and breathing Barcelona"...sure.

I think I've seen a handful pedestrians/civilians in the footage, other than that it's as lifeless as a cemetery.

Looks really racing focused, kind of like Full Auto without guns. Framerate seems bad, graphics don't seem too good. Also, lol at shooting through objects to hit cars behind them and *facepalm* at vehicle melee.

Make a sequel to the Riddick game. That'd be tons better.

I love how they keep listing features that a CAR CHASE GAME needs.. pedestrians, fruit carts, black cats. No, it needs PHYSICS.

What I saw here had absolutely pathetic handling and collision physics, as if the cars were held by strings and were floating in a puppet show.

What made games like the original Drivers or Stuntman good in my book was the stellar physics. (Stuntman was in more ways flawed but very next gen in the physics).

This game is setting up to be a repeat of the abysmal Stuntman: Ignition or at best a Burnout wannabe (a game that lacks any hint of realism but gets away with it). BLEH!

Correct, the Chronicles of Riddick for Xbox was a great game and a good way to start off his studio.

Just for the record vin disel had NOTHING to do with the actual development of that game, the game was developed by starbreeze http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starbreeze
vin disels company tigon studios http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tigon_Studios does not make games they focus on cinematography, cutscenes and voice acting.
The guys in this video are the developers from midway studios newcastle.

Now why did i bother correcting you here? I hate vin disel and i get really annoyed when people give credit to that meat-head, so for the record vin disel is NOT a game developer but he is however a shitty actor who consults videogame developers that make games that feature his ugly mug. :)

Actually I wasn't referring to Vin Diesel, the game developer. I was referring to Vin Diesel, the living personification of badassery.

Totally agree. I've been looking forward to this one since it was first announced, as I love a good chase scene in movies and the original Driver game was one of my favorite 32-bit era games.

I would love a next gen Driver where it required real driving skills like the original instead of this button mashing to make your car perform kungfu moves

So technically they "co-developed" it right? Which means they still had involvement with the development of the game. It says so right on their wiki page anyway. Also, it's better he consults them instead of actually being the head developer or anything like that. Because he knows what he is and what he isn't.
