DjMizuhara sent us his christmas gift early this year with this video of White Knight Chronicles, with more to come as far as I can tell.
Update: Added a second video, aptly named "Suit up!"
Update 2: Third video is up, this time showing some low level combos.

Graphically wow!!

I am actually impressed. Thought this one looked a little bit like ass.

I think it looking boring is becuase there's not much fighting

I thought the Last Remnaant bits like that were boring too. But the little fighting involved in this video looks solid and dare I say it fun?

Who knows, will ait for an EU release.

Maybe they should have scaled down environments so they could bring in a better population of npc's

It's the price of shifting quality from a main title to the attention whore that is a Dragon Quest title.
Same thing happend with TFLO, but they(M$) had the decency to tell Level 5 to go FUCK OFF, than keeping a mediocre title in production.

huge environments but looks kinda bland to me. lacking a lot of details it seems. and this is supposed to be for ps3? combat looks just ok but i don't know how to read japanese so i dunno how deep it can go. also getting really sick and tired of that happy-go-lucky music in towns. it does look a lot of like FFXI.

i'd probably still get it anyway cuz i love RPGs. ^_^

People having gripes with this makes me think of people having hidden agendas.

It looks EXACTLY like a lot of RPG's. Except graphically, it's been underwhelming till now.

First, dont judge the game's combat just yet. JRPGs always start very slow. Graphics are quite disappointing to be honest, I was expecting something better, much better. Levels are huge but look veeeery empty!

that looks whack...framerate looks slow, screen tearing is all over the place, its really jaggy...bland empty and just plain old blah!

Well it looks almost exactly like Lost Odyssey or Enchanted Arms or any other generic JRPG to release this gen. I'm just waiting for news of the next Shin Megami Tensei, and we've only got 3 months until the Japanese FF13 demo drops (said to be over 2 hours long!)

I can agree that its not as graphical impressive as you could expect... but still; its their first game on this generation of consoles and it still looks pretty good in my opinion, if not stunning :)

I must say this is yet another game that clearly shows how much better japanese developers are when it comes to character models... look at the hair, for instance :)

Looks graphically fairly poor and it has an extremely hackneyed look and art style, one for die hard fans of the genre I think.

combat areas look decent (if a little "seen it all before") and the 'wandering around town' looks about as boring as most other JRPG's. so far im a little on the fence. reminds me a lot of FF12 with a slightly more interesting art style...dunno, we'll see i guess. it'll be a rental either way since i cant say im a huge fan of the genre. i did enjoy dark chronical tho.

Real Life is generic, I guess. But games aren't real life, btw. Still, it's better than having bad art.

now now, no need for that, but for a game in development for 3 years it is slightly underwhelming, valkryia, SO4, Tales and LO look better graphically than this

Looks alright from what I can tell from a video. The graphics aren't amazing but the gameplay looks alright for the early stages of a JRPG.

As long as this game is better than the train wrecks Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant I'll be satisfied.

What you guys have to remember is that this video is the first hour of the game...I haven't even gotten the White knight suit yet. Japanese RPG's are slow to start to please take that into consideration before judging the game. At the moment I've only able to make 2 hit combo's and I have to using them sparingly, so thats another reason the combat doesn't look great yet. I'll be posting new videos later today, hopefully I'll get further into the game to show the white knight and the bigger combo system.
