The closed beta for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands started today and we only had enough time to record the very beginning on Playstation 4 Pro (the console's resolution was set up at 4k). We'll add some PC footage as soon as possible, so stay tuned!
Update: 3 PC videos added. Sadly, the PC version has huge performance issues, even with our GTX 1080. This is somehow understandable as the game is not final yet and no dedicated drivers have been released, but it surely isn't going to reassure PC gamers. It's clearly not the kind of publicity Ubisoft needed. The problem seems to be due to Vsync.

I'm not sure. When you launch the game, it connects to their servers, so could be. :/

GTA Wildlands.

Can't say it's bad, but I would have liked a more faithful franchise entry. OG Xbox really set the model for all next GR games to come.

Just a warning. The first video contains some very strong language. 10 seconds in the driver calls someone a "cock holster". Is that even an insult, never heard it.

Battlefield 3 has the best voiceover of all time. It's full of ridiculous profanity.

If 55 avg fps at 1080p then I guess it can't hit 30fps in 4k

Been playing the beta for a couple of hours, For a Ghost Recon game its truly awful! For a non R* open world game is decentish. The world looks incredible easily up there with the best open world games. The sound is top notch as well had it blasting through the home cinema.

Ghost fans are going to be hugely aggreived though, the gunplay is crap its more like Watchdogs than Ghost Recon with guns feeling weightless with little recoil and the AI is bloody awful. Most knew the game was geared up for the causuals and the kool aid drinkers and thats exactly how its turned out. Shame.

Yeah it feels nothing like the good old GR on PC, but that was never ever going to happen anyway. Just like we'll never see another Rogue Spear or Raven Shield ever again. But it honestly doesn't even really feel like the Xbox GR. It feels more GR than Future Soldier did but then that game was crap in my book. Gunplay is indeed much more like Watch Dogs and The Division too. It sadly is the gunplay that isn't all that satisfying. It's just there.

So 1080p on a GTX 1080 needs medum settings to be somewhat smooth
How do they think this is ok?
At least medium still looks somewhat ok, but anyone who has less than the GTX 1080 monster card will be disappointed

It looks gorgeous and im glad they have beefed up the player movement and gun mechanics but I'm still not sold as it's lacking something. Maybe I'm kinda burnt out on ubi's constant open world scenarios but I'll give it another go today.
