This will be the best shooter of 2014, just based on what I got to play. Hip fire, not having to aim down sights, gun sounds, hit reactions, flanking AI, 60fps etc.

But it will be better than anything you've played, seen visually or heard on your PS2/PS3 or Xbox/360.

Unfortunately it will never reach the greatness of RTCW, just like MOH never duplicated MOHAA. It took very special teams for those games, and we are lacking those teams these days.
It could end up being good though. I am hoping for that.

They could make this look good with higher-res textures and a global illumination lighting engine but like that's going to happen...

There's some very strange attitudes in here, and it seems a game is now judged instantly by how it looks. There's very little wrong with how this game looks at all. Obviously it isn't cutting edge, but it hardly looks like shit either. Quiet the opposite in fact, and if only it turns out to be half as good as RTCW was. God, I hope so.

There are actually some interesting screen effects going on. The DoF and blur look nice. And the character models and particle effects look ok. But as I believe this is using id tech 5, yes the textures leave a bit to be desired. But it'll probably be a solid fun shooter.

This stuff doesn't sell anymore. Work on some "re-imagined" Medal of Honor or something, no need to cough games for old farts with an XBLA feel.
